This was recommended to us as a good local restaurant. There were ladies playing cards in the back and couples having a leisurely meal on the porch. The food was good but it's what I call "California" food - hummus and feta cheese in a wrap. My wife loved her turkey sandwich and I liked my Mediterranean salad. But is... More

This new cafe serves healthy and delicious food and coffee. The store, part of the cafe, offers unique greeting card choices, wines, cookbooks as well as books about the hill country area and history. Nice place to have a leisurely breakfast or lunch.

They have transformed the space into something very clean, bright, modern - and the food was delicious. Very relaxed and casual atmosphere. Would definitely stop there for lunch again. Open Everyday - Except Wednesday.

The food is the best in all the Hill Country. The only drawback is they stop serving at 4 pm. My new favorite place to eat. Interesting and surprising food! Men will love it, too! Its fun to sit out in a rocking chair with a glass of wine, too. They even offer cooking classes at night!

Quality of food has diminished. Prices went up, portions went down considerably. I am not a big eater and have normal portions, but this was ridiculous. To make matters even worse, the lettuce on the tuna salad was wilted on the edges. Have been here quite a few times previously, but the last time will not be repeated again.

Great food, great people, and great atmosphere. A very relaxing outdoor patio and laid back environment. I could spend all day there.

We live in Fredericksburg and eat at High's several times each month. The ambiance is quite relaxing and casual. The owner/chef has wonderful, fresh ideas for daily specials so there is always something new to add interest to the menu. Desserts are amazing and very difficult to choose just one....always need something to take home. Stopped in today for lunch... More

Having found this place a couple years ago, whenever I make my way to Fredericksburg I have to make High's a scheduled stop! My family and I have tried other eateries but this cafe is always consistent. First off, you notice the minute you walk in that you are NOT in your typical tourist trap/chotchki kinda place. The "store" is... More

I have eaten at High's Cafe now over twenty different times and I gotta say, while it's the only general hip lunch place to eat in Comfort, it's way over-hyped, over-priced and not a great value. I served a small lunch to a few of my colleagues while doing business to Comfort awhile back. The food needed to be gluten... More
