Fun and Tasty

We didn't want to wait the 30 minutes to eat in the diner, so we had lunch in the bar instead. I had the chicken salad.. salad Andy sons had burgers. We all really enjoyed our food and how fun the atmosphere was. There was a singer out on the patio with the parrot cage. It's a real neat place... read more

The coolest old dinner in old Wellborn Rd. Everything is delicious and abundant in this place. Special attention deserves the Chicken Fried Steak. There are lots of good options for bkfast, lunch and dinner. You sit in the original diner wagon although they have expanded backwards to accommodate the kitchen.

Heard this was a "must go" place, but not worth either the wait or putting up with very unprofessional wait staff. Female in bar area was rude both times, waiter dumped our food as if bringing it was a huge inconvenience. In bar area, you have to pay your food bill in advance (including tip) and half our group wanted... More

I made the drive to this place because it was on Diners Drive Ins and Dives, and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the Roman Sausage which was delicious and actually filled me up for the rest of the day. Prices were very reasonable. There is also a bar connected to the place that is really cool. There was an older... More

My husband and I visited the Hullabaloo Diner on a Friday evening recently. We loved the diner atmosphere, and the service was friendly and competent. Sadly the food was really only average. Every Texan loves a good chicken fried steak, but my husband's steak had a very doughy crust and the gravy tasted of too much flour. I ordered a... More

Went there because we were told it is a quaint Texas diner. In reality it's a cramped diner car that appears to be falling down that serves greasy food at inflated prices. Went there once......ONCE!!!

A wedding reception brought us to the Hullabaloo Diner. The food was good, service was friendly and attentive, and their craft beers were outstanding, The Nut Brown Amber is a must have. Live music in a casual, rustic setting made for a great evening with family and friends.

What happened to this place? It got famous and went downhill. That's not to say that some of their food isn't still good. Is that a double negative? My grandma won't read this so I won't worry about it. The service has gotten worse too. Maybe they need Gordon Ramsey to come in.

The once charming diner has seen better days, it continues to decay and fall apart. The wait staff is dismal, slow and unresponsive. Our daughter ate there over a week ago and said it wasn't that good. We came any way 3/18/15 and sorry we did. Their food lacks flavor but not the grease. The chicken fried steak has way... More

We love to go there. Their Chicken Parmeasan is very good. Portions are HUGE. Save room for pie. Kids love this diner. This is a wonderful landmark. Sometimes the lines are long because it's popular with college kids and parents as well as families.
