My only regret was that I ate here just once. The sushi is fresh and the atmosphere has a great vibe. There's a section of the restaurant that provides tappanyaki style dinners prepared right in front of you. My colleague and I chose to eat adjacent to the bar. Great bento boxes, sushi and sashimi along with a great house... More

We reserved a party room for my roommate's birthday but ended up not having enough people to fill the reservation, so they let us combine with another party to meet the minimum number so we could keep our table. The food was DELICIOUS, as expected, and the chefs definitely put on a show! Make sure you get the fried rice!

We had a great dinner here. Everything was very good. We did not do the hibachi grill, but it looked like everyone was having a good time with it. My Wife's filet was a tad over cooked, but it was tasty. I had the Atami Sashimi Dinner, as well as my Son, and it melted in our mouths! The service... More

We stopped in for a quick lunch and were impressed. The staff was great and food was really good. Prices were hard to beat. An affordable lunch!!

Made reservations 5 days ahead of time for a party of eight. Upon arrival we informed them there would only be 6 of us for my granddaughters birthday celebration. Once seated, one of our guests called and informed us he got off work early and would be there in 10 minutes; we saved a seat for him. The waitress was... More

The restaurant was busy and the wait was long as noted by some other reviewers, even though we had a reservation. But we were visiting with family so we just talked the time away and it didn't matter. Once we were seated, things went smoothly. The food was good (hey it's not authentic Japanese, it's just a show) and the... More

My wife and I took our youngest to Atami on her graduation day. She's our little Aggie. The food was extraordinary as were the drinks and service. Quite the memorable evening. I can see why it is my daughter's favorite. A nice way to say goodbye to College Station. I highly recommend this place, but get there early to avoid... More

Have been going to Atami for the last 4 years but will NEVER go again unless there is a change in management! The manager "Tony" was probably the rudest person in food service I have ever seen. He lost about 20 customers today who will never return. Owners take note! This guy is running your restaurant out of business!!! There... More

As for Hibachi style dining, this was on par with most--and they are generally entertaining. We were one of the lucky tables that had an authentic chef--not a college kid dressed up like one. The food was great, the sushi was delicious (try the roll that is fried crawfish tail, topped with steak--it's great), and everything was rather enjoyable. The... More

We truly enjoy the hibachi style dining experience and have had many wonderful meals in this type of restaurant. Atami was by far the worst we have ever experienced. We were in College Station for a special event honoring our A&M student. As experienced hibachi patrons, we understand the "fill the table" philosophy. As we were seated, the hostess placed... More
