I tried this place to compare with its competition, which I visited last week. I got the seafood pho to compare with the same dish at the competition. The "seafood" pho had only shrimp, rather than shrimp and other ingredients (squid, crab). The bowl was big enough, but the soup was rather bland. I had to add salt to flavor,... More

This place got good reviews on Yelp so we decided to try it out. When we walked in around 5:30 on a Friday, it was literally empty so we were skeptical. It was decent pho. We ordered the fried spring rolls for an appetizer and it was just okay. The roll wasn't evenly cooked so it wasn't as crispy. You... More

Unlike Rosie's just around the corner, Pho John's hasn't had any issues with cleanliness. The menu is also a tad easier to understand too and the food is good and fairly inexpensive.

This place is not any good. Worst service, nasty food and the place is in need of some remodeling. The service was beyond terrible. There is a better pho option in bcs.

My wife and I were in town for a softball tournament. I selected Pho Johns as we were craving something different from the usual steak/burger experience. I found this to be a pretty good stop. I ordered the steak/brisket pho. The portion was huge and (I thought) tasty. I had kind of expected a more fish sauce taste to the... More

I love Vietnamese food and thought I would stop in... the restaurant was outstanding, and the staff were great. Over all a great experience.

Tried one of the noodle bowls...tasted horrible. Can't even describe what it tasted like except that the broth tasted the way Crystal Beach smells -- repulsive. It was inedible. We ended up going somewhere else.

Traveling out of town in College Station from Houston. Want a good bowl of Pho and not expecting anything from a small town vietnamese restaurant. John Pho serves a good bowl of Pho, the staffs are friendly as well. Wouldn't go with the fried rice again, but of course why eat anything else going to a Pho restaurant.

After reading the five star reviews maybe I was expecting more. Ordered the spring rolls and they were good, not fried and healthy, as the menu declares. Probably a mistake to order a small pho because the bowl was so small and there was no room to mix in the bean sprouts, basil and sliced jalapenos. The thick slices of... More
