Excellent Reasonably Priced Food Choices

We have been coming to Cafe Eccel for close to 20 years. It is a good place for eclectic dishes that are not budget busters. In our mind a stalwart among the many choices in the Bryan/College Station area. The new location is spacious with a lot more seating options and better parking than the old... read more

My wife took me to a longtime favorite restaurant for a very special Lunch celebration. It was my first time at their new location. Waited only a few minutes to be seated. Very nice. The new digs were very nice but very noisy and we found it difficult to have conversation at our table. We waited a long time to... More

Lunch with a girlfriend was very nice. there is a section of the menu for appetizers, just right portions for us. We shared the crab cakes, and mix your own guacamole. both dishes were very good. My only slightly negative would be that I would have cooked the crab cakes a couple of minutes more-a personal preference. The guacamole was... More

We live in College Station and we were regular patrons at the old Cafe Eccell. The new one in much improved on size, parking and atmosphere. They have an excellent bar area. The menu is similar to the old Cafe. I live the Voodoo Salmon and the fish tacos. It is a great place for a group. We have now... More

Wanting to save room for the strawberry tart, we ordered the crab cake appetizer to share along with a salad for each of us. Excellent decision! I had the Greek salad and my lunch partner had the Caesar salad with shrimp. He couldn't say enough good things about both. And of course the strawberry tart that we shared was delicious,... More

First time here, nice amosphere, sufficient parking. Service was good, not overwhelming. Slow at times refilling the drinks, Had the snapper entree. Was great and most everyone in our party was satisfied with their selections. Slightly higher than average in the prices. Was too full to attempt dessert, but would definitely return when in the area again.

Cafe Eccell has always been well known around town for their Strawberry Tart and it is a must try if you've never had it - if you still have room after your meal. This restaurant moved from the previous location some time ago and always had good pizzas, corn chowder and desserts (which are still good). When they moved they... More

We have visited Cafe Eccell a few times and each time the service is outstanding and the food is wonderful. The salads are flavorful, pizzas are loaded, the seafood is fresh, and the desserts are fabulous! It has quickly become one of my favorite spots in college station.

The old Cafe Eccell had a reputation for good food and poor service. It took a while but service at the new Cafe Eccell has deteriorated to match the old Eccell. Servers seem more interested in talking to each other than in checking on the food or making sure that the diner might want another glass of wine or something... More
