Wanting to save room for the strawberry tart, we ordered the crab cake appetizer to share along with a salad for each of us. Excellent decision! I had the Greek salad and my lunch partner had the Caesar salad with shrimp. He couldn't say enough good things about both. And of course the strawberry tart that we shared was delicious,... More

Cafe Eccell has always been well known around town for their Strawberry Tart and it is a must try if you've never had it - if you still have room after your meal. This restaurant moved from the previous location some time ago and always had good pizzas, corn chowder and desserts (which are still good). When they moved they... More

We have visited Cafe Eccell a few times and each time the service is outstanding and the food is wonderful. The salads are flavorful, pizzas are loaded, the seafood is fresh, and the desserts are fabulous! It has quickly become one of my favorite spots in college station.

The old Cafe Eccell had a reputation for good food and poor service. It took a while but service at the new Cafe Eccell has deteriorated to match the old Eccell. Servers seem more interested in talking to each other than in checking on the food or making sure that the diner might want another glass of wine or something... More

Visiting CS for daughter's ring ceremony this past weekend, we were stuck for a place to eat mid-afternoon and luckily, we found Cafe Eccell. Four of us had early supper. The queso blanco was delicious (my daughter and her friend claim it edged out their favorite for best in town) and the ceviche was unbelievable. We tried the catch of... More

Really nice restaurant covering formal and informal dinning, there is also a bar area. Service is relaxed but very professional. Staff are great, they mean their smiles and are always willing to help. Menu range goes from sandwiches to full on main course meals - all to a great standard. Not a Michelin star menu, but fits everything you want... More

The set-up is odd. Our server kept forgetting about us. My boss and myself each had to get up from our table to find him. The food is great but it is a pricey place. I would say more a high-end business lunch. Will I go back there again? Probably not. Price doesn't equal the quantity of the food we... More

Love the new location, but the service was slow and mediocre at best, and the items we selected from the menu were interesting but not fresh. We won't be returning.
