Good but not great

Like most places in College Station, its pretty good but not great. Certainly one of the better places in town but just not up to the standards of Austin or Houston

Whether you need a business lunch, a romantic evening, or an evening out with family or friends, Cafe Eccell meets your needs. The food is very good. Wood fired pizzas are my go to. They have a full bar and decent beer selection. The atmosphere is nice as well. It usually seems busy when we go, but not crowded. There... More

We took our son here with a group of his friends for his birthday. Appetizers were really good. My husband and I had their burgers which were wonderful. Our son had the grilled cheese with pulled pork and he said it was delicious. Really nice evening.

The menu offers a very wide variety of American and Mediterranean food. New design of restaurant layout in their new location. Great for dates, romantic dinners or larger gatherings. Excellent food and you have order the chocolate strawberry tart.

My husband and I finally ate here after hearing people say good things about it and neither of us found it very appealing. The waiter was disinterested and absent for long periods and our food order took far too long to receive. There were only a few other occupied tables so it made no sense. We ordered different entrees and... More

I visited with my husband and grandmother yesterday. We were there around noon on a Saturday and could easily converse at a normal volume without having to compete with the tables around us. Service was prompt. Wine selection was very good and they have mimosa and Bloody Mary options. The brunch menu was available until 2P and the regular menu... More

The menu is interesting with creative dishes and our service was good. But my food (lamb gyro) was kind of blah, tasteless, and visually uninteresting. In addition, the on-line menu is not the same as the in-house menu, and the waiter told me that the in-house menu was changed last summer.

Staff:professional and friendly Wine list: slightly overpriced yet good variety Ambiance: (we visited at lunchtime) conversation was easily heard over music, the tables by the windows were fun during the torrential downpour during our visit. Creamy tomato soup served with baked parmesan cheese chip. Very flavorful. Grilled portobellini mushrooms: grilled and served with grilled tomatoes, pesto, feta and balsamic syrup.... More

It can be noisy but if you avoid peak times it is a delightful experience with good food. Caesar salad and pizza are two favorites. Excellent soup, too.

Enjoyed an excellent, if pricey, meal. The ahi tuna was awesome. Cooked to a rare perfection. But $35? The pizzas are large enough for 2 to share. The pretzel type dough was fantastic. Ten dollars for a bowl of tortilla soup was highway robbery. I understand it was graduation weekend, but don't make it seem like I'm paying for another... More
