Cafe Eccell is a very nice restaurant with good food, but it is a bit on the expensive side. The food is tasty and fresh, so even with high prices, it is worth the splurge on occasion.

Whilst on a business trip to College Station I took a large group for dinner at Cafe Eccell. I chose it because it offered a wide choice of food to suit a variety of tastes at a reasonable price. Our food was good (although not spectacular - it felt a bit mass produced) and our large group got all of... More

One of the most interesting menus in the Bryan-College Station area. Loved the windows but not too crazy about the prices.

Excited about their new location (with MUCH better parking), we took an out of town guest out for dinner. What I liked: their service continues to be pretty good. What I didn't like: The food was just okay. There are no menu options for kids (we had a 9 year old with us). The lighting was weird; too much light... More

We were excited about the opening of Eccell in their new location. But the food was very disappointing as was the service. The waitress made numerous mistakes on our orders. The manager was apologetic and the bill was adjusted. But as for having a nice experience that was not the case. I would not recommend the Cafe Eccell. It's overpriced... More

For folks who have lived in College Station forever, Cafe Excel has been part of the landscape. Unfortunately, local politics forced the owners to move to a new location, and this has harmed a previously special atmosphere. The new place is pretty good, but for those of us who have dined at Cafe Excel for decades, even before the present... More

My in-laws ordered 3 Thanksgiving dinners to go. Absolutely awful!!! Turkey was just shredded meat not slices, no gravy included. Mashed potatoes were dry instead of creamy. So bad they threw it out. They ordered chocolate pecan pie and got pumpkin. All in all it was a complete waste of $75.

Cafe Eccell recently moved to a new location. It is now at 4401 South Texas Ave., Bryan. It is a much larger restaurant now and can accommodate more patrons. It did lose some ambiance due to being in a larger room with more light, but the decor is comfortable and the service as great as ever. The entrees were a... More

The new location (in an old Luby's) definitely allows for more people. Food and service were great. I asked for the kitchen to cook my food with little salt, and they were very accommodating. I really appreciated that.

In a smaller town you would not expect to find this gem, but it is there and fantastic! The service is very attentive and the menu with rotating options like the mashed potatoes of the week and the bread pudding of the week. With an excellent selection of beers and cocktails, this is a great place to take a date... More
