Other than location, little had changed

Cafe Eccell was my favorite restaurant in B/CS when I lived there in the late '90s. I've been a few times since moving to Houston, and the quality has been consistently good. Since my last visit, the restaurant relocated from Church Street in College Station to the old Luby's on Texas Avenue in... read more

Love the new Café Eccell location. The restaurant is much larger and the parking is great. The bar area is very large, which is also where we prefer to dine. We like the casual atmosphere and conversation with the bartenders. My personal favorite is the Moroccan Lamp Chop appetizer.

Save room for dessert! They have a pretty good selection of vegetarian entrees which is hard to find in College Station--or all of Texas for that matter. The quality of the food is excellent, and the wait staff is always professional and friendly.

I want the old Eccell. It was a favorite. This wasn't at all what I was expecting. Live out of town now but have frequented this restaurant for years. I know things have been rough this past year, but please revisit your passion. The staff were chaotic and undertrained. I had to tell them there was huge puddle of water... More

We have been coming to Cafe Eccel for close to 20 years. It is a good place for eclectic dishes that are not budget busters. In our mind a stalwart among the many choices in the Bryan/College Station area. The new location is spacious with a lot more seating options and better parking than the old location. We found the... My wife took me to a longtime favorite restaurant for a very special Lunch celebration. It was my first time at their new location. Waited only a few minutes to be seated. Very nice. The new digs were very nice but very noisy and we found it difficult to have conversation at our table. We waited a long time to... More

Lunch with a girlfriend was very nice. there is a section of the menu for appetizers, just right portions for us. We shared the crab cakes, and mix your own guacamole. both dishes were very good. My only slightly negative would be that I would have cooked the crab cakes a couple of minutes more-a personal preference. The guacamole was... More

We live in College Station and we were regular patrons at the old Cafe Eccell. The new one in much improved on size, parking and atmosphere. They have an excellent bar area. The menu is similar to the old Cafe. I live the Voodoo Salmon and the fish tacos. It is a great place for a group. We have now... More

Wanting to save room for the strawberry tart, we ordered the crab cake appetizer to share along with a salad for each of us. Excellent decision! I had the Greek salad and my lunch partner had the Caesar salad with shrimp. He couldn't say enough good things about both. And of course the strawberry tart that we shared was delicious,... More

First time here, nice amosphere, sufficient parking. Service was good, not overwhelming. Slow at times refilling the drinks, Had the snapper entree. Was great and most everyone in our party was satisfied with their selections. Slightly higher than average in the prices. Was too full to attempt dessert, but would definitely return when in the area again.
