Real Mexican food is a feast for the senses. From colorful peppers to the sounds of sizzling fajitas all the way to that incredible flavor. Each mouthful is just as much a result of the freshest ingredients as it is a result of the chef's expertise. Abuelo's offers diners the opportunity to experience real Mexican food, combining authentic, made from scratch classic dishes with the rich, subtle flavors of coastal and interior Mexican cuisine. Our executive Chef Luis Sanchez has spent decades perfecting our menu, and we boast a wide selection of wood-grilled fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, chile rellenos or Abuelo's unique House Specialties (depending on your location). To compliment your meal, our expert bartenders are masters at crafting signature favorites, including a wide variety of margaritas and swirls. Whatever the occasion, we'll stop at nothing to make your time at Abuelo's a memorable dining experience.

Great Mexican Food

Great Service, comfortable setting, and outstanding food that is well priced and reasonable quick. This is a chain that I really enjoy for its consistency and creative selections. I love the Los Mejores De La Casa (Best of the House with Tenderloin Medallions and Shrimp)

like the selection and atmosphere; this time we were REALLY hungry for late lunch and staff took too long to offer the chips and drinks

Steve, sorry we weren't able to more promptly bring your chips and drinks. I know what it's like to just be sitting somewhere waiting when you're hungry, so I completely understand your frustrations. We'll be better about this in the future. Hope to see you back and thanks for the compliments, as well. :) Best, Jackie GM More

My husband and I found ourselves in College Station, Texas on a Sunday at lunch time, before catching a flight to Dallas. Mostly college town type eateries for lunch, as would be expected in a college town. After some quick Internet research on Trip Advisor, we tried Abuelos, which is in a nice large space with wall murals and a... More

We're so sorry we messed up on that skinny margarita! We usually have that recipe perfect, so I'm not too sure what happened here. I'll be sure to look into it. Otherwise, we're happy you had a nice visit to Aggieland, and we hope your trip to Dallas was pleasant! Best, Jackie GM More

Travelled for a business trip, and went with a very large group. Service was fast and friendly. The drink special was $1.99 mojito's, so the bill wasn't too bad... food was good. Prices were very reasonable. I definitely recommend a stop for some good Mexican food.

Alan, glad you were able to stop by for our mojito special! It's honestly one of my favorite specials, so I'm so happy you enjoyed it. Anytime you're in need of a good plate of Tex-Mex -- big or small group -- we'd love to have you back! Best, Jackie GM More

Love the tapas and the great menu with lots of choices. Every time we have been to the restaurant we have great service and it is reasonably priced.

Trying to eat healthy in a Mexican food restaurant is difficult because of the tempting dishes. Abuelo's Fajita salad is a good way to avoid high fat food. The serving is large, the ingredients fresh and the fajita meat tender and lean. Service was excellent--recommend arriving about 1:15 to avoid the noon hour crowd. Really like the convenience of paying... More

I definitely understand how difficult it can be to eat healthy while dining out, so I'm so happy you were able to find an option here that did just that! It's wonderful that you found the fajita meat to be so tender and lean -- we hope you'll come back for more! Thank you for leaving this, too. It means... More

Good most of the time. Sometimes too greasy. The papas are a must. The food is alway piping hot, like at Arby's. That's right my friend, Arby's.

Yorlive, we're glad to hear the food is always hot and you love the papas -- thank you! And we've never been compared to Arby's before. Interesting! I'm sorry to hear it's a little too greasy sometimes; we'll do our best to work on that. Anyways, hope to have you back very soon. Best, Jackie GM More

This is a Mexican restaurant in College Station Tx.. The service is excellent. The Mexican food is great, but what I like is their Prime Rib special on Thursday and Sunday nights. We have visited this unit, as well as the one in Austin Tx. and both are good.

You tried the prime rib? That's great to hear! I'm so glad you've loved it so much, both here and in Austin. Hope to see you back soon, and thank you so much for thinking to leave us this. Best, Jackie GM More
