I went here for lunch with 2 co-workers while visiting the area. We all thought the chips and salsa were horrible. The food was okay at best (I had tacos, one co-worker had fajitas and another had a burrito) and we call came to the same conclusion - they were so so. The only good part was that you can... More

While El Toro had a lot of business on the Saturday night we were there, I found the food only average. Now, I don't consider this a bad review, but I didn't see any outstanding entrees in those that were ordered by my group. The service from our waiter was quite good.

The mexican food here was very good. i was surprised because you can usually tell how good the food's going to be based on their salsa-- and the salsa was more like Pace Picante than the good salsa i'm used to-- but the fajitas were great! i also recommend having the margarita in the boot shaped cup-- you get to... We had friends visiting from out of town, so our party of six went to El Toro after church this past Sunday. El Toro is a large restaurant, so even if the lot if filling up or near full, you will most likely be seated quickly. Texas hospitality is abundant here. We were seated at a corner round table of... Hair in queso. Waiter never attended to us and kept saying he was busy. A bill for 4 adults and 1 kid was 90$. I left table and went to the restroom. Grandma was left at the table. When I returned, the bussing staff was standing next to her with trash cans and trays and forcing her to get up.

I've eaten at El Toro since it first opened in the 50's (I think that's when it opened). It was so good then and has done nothing but improve and add great menu selections The staff is friendly and prompt. If I have any complaint at all...it is a bit loud.
