Definite Stop

We stopped in and got a dozen pastries for a snack. It was excellent! The bakery has a wide range of pastries, cookies, and brownies. Great variety of fresh pastries and breads daily! Friendly staff. And it smells divine! It is a must stop...

When you walk in you won't be able to browse the selection because you will stand there taking in the fresh smell. Friendly and helpful staff are there to guide you if needed. Lots of sweets and fresh breads, definitely worth a try.

If you are traveling to South Texas and have a hankering for delicious baked goods, then make a stop in Castroville at Haby's Alsatian Bakery. I've had baked goods several times, but only recently did I have the opportunity actually stop at this place in Castroville, Texas. We delighted in a variety of donuts, cookies, bread and the best apple... More

We've always wanted to stop here on our way through as we love the Alsace region in France! The baked goods here are pretty darn good. Try the Apple Fritter! We'll stop again!

The bread (pumpernickel ,rye etc.) is perfect. You will find every type of dessert all of which are perfect. I have had family visit from all over the US and they are so surprised to taste such delicious pastries in a small town. Don't miss out !

I've stopped in here numerous times on my way to San Antonio and being the eternal optimist I always hope I'll finally be "wowed". Well I came close to that on my latest visit when I picked up some large oversized "ghost" cookies for Halloween. They were VERY flavorful and the frosting was delicious. Later I wished I had bought... More
