Great Pies

The pies are homemade and delicious. Not cheap, but delicious. The couple that run it are very friendly.

This is a very small place with a counter and covered picnic tables outside. It serves pies. Homemade throughout the day by a friendly lady that owns the place. We purchased a Coconut Cream pie that was quite heavy and with high topping. It was great as we took it with us to San Antonino and enjoyed it that evening... More

Had better pies from Startz Cafe. Bought whole pies for Christmas dinner. What was supposed to be a chocolate cream pie was actually a French silk. It was OK, not great. The buttermilk chess pie was bland as were the wedding cookies. Will not be back.

The pie the you buy from Mrs. Bush's will generally be very good. I generally get items like this very cheap on my home grounds and thought it was high until bought one nearer home at a place that I was told to be very good. I made a mistake and did not ask the price nearer home and it... More

This got great reviews on TA, so we stopped by on our way back to Austin. Delicious cookies and the pecan pie was spectacular. Worth the trip. It's a tiny place -- you just get stuff to go, but the owner was there and was friendly and thanked us for coming by.

Best chicken salad sandwich we've ever had. Can't get enough of them. Don't pass up on the homemade oatmeal raisin cookies and pecan pie.

Pies are OK. I go to Wimberley to get mine. Or one from Robin across the street at Granny D's. This is mostly a carry out but there are some tables under the trees.

When I walked in I was hooked by the sweet aroma of something wonderful being freshly made -- it was Blueberry Pound Cake, but I was told it wasn't ready yet. So I browsed and sampled and bought. I hung around long enough to get a Blueberry Pound Cake! It was so good, I bought the recipe book so that... More

Bought a Pecan and a Butter Milk Chess pie. Died and went to heaven! I hear the Key Lime is good too.

The four of us bought one pie to take to our lodging. We all enjoyed the pie. I plan to get another pie the next time I am in the area.
