even the pregnant waitress smokes!

The food at best is OK. I suspect the restaraunt is one of those places people "experience" after a few at the lake. I'm simply not used to seeing a cook smoking behind the bar or for that matter a pregnant waitress smoking when seated in between bringing us our food and resting. If you are not... read more

Remember to bring your own cooler. Very laid back and yummmmmmy crawdads! Great service and easy in and out.

Kinda of a hole in the wall. But the food was really great even with it dumped on the table staff was funny and friendly and price was great

My boyfriend and I found Plookys while spending a long weekend at Canyon Lake. We were in the mood for crawfish and made the best decision to eat Plookys. The service was great, the owners were extremely friendly and didn't hesitate to welcome us in. The food was excellent. Can't wait to visit again next year!

It is a good value for the money when you are in the mood for a shrimp boil with potatoes and corn. They also have crawfish, the owners are friendly.

Best Crawfish in Texas if you ask me. They are a little pricey, but the taste is well worth it!!! Bring your own beer/wine or cocktails.

We went with to Plooky's based on good reviews from Urbanspoon. The shrimp was good, the gumbo was great, the boudin was mushy:(. They had a large group and seemed to be overwhelmed and never got several things we asked for. We are from Austin and not used to smoking allowed but moved to a table in the corner away... More

The husband and I decided to try what looks like a hole-in-the-wall restaurant from the outside. We were pleasantly surprised. 1 lb of shrimp, 4 corn on the cobs, 4 potatoes and sliced sausage dumped Cajun style onto the butcher paper laid over your table and a cup of gumbo for $27.95. Byob makes it even more cost effective. The... More

We have been known to get up early on a Sunday morning and fly or drive to New Orleans during crawfish season. So we obviously like crawfish. Hot, spicy, tears in your eyes crawfish. We have been remarkably impressed with a few local offerings of this delectable dish. Unfortunately for Plookey's, they are NOT even close to good. We ate there... More
