Unpretentious and good food

The restaurant is not fancy, but the food is excellent. Served by a smiling, friendly server, the catfish dinner was some of the best I have ever eaten. We will be eating here again soon.

We had heard this restaurant was very good and we were not disappointed. We ate breakfast here and it was excellent! If you want some good home cooked breakfast or food in general, you need to visit Granny D's !

Visiting in the area with friends we were taken to Granny D's for breakfast. Pancakes were recommended with a comment to order only 1....so we did and believe it or not 1 pancake was enough for two days! I had the cinnamon roll pancake and my husband had the caramel apple, both were outstanding! Busy place and I can recommend... More

I had breakfast here two mornings in a row. The portions are generous, and the food is good. The pancakes are huge! I ordered a short stack, and ate 3 meals off of it. The service in the restaurant is very good, and the waitresses are very attentive.

Not impressed with the blt salad. Pass! Pecan/ apple pancake was a yummy dessert or meal. Large portions. Polite and attentive service. Also had chicken fried steak, potatoes and carmelized carrots, again yummy. Didn't try lemon meringue pie, but they are photo worthy.

Service was slow-food was average in what they had. The day we stopped in it was a fish buffet and at 12:45 their was no fish.

Read past reviews and expected this place to have a hole-in-the-wall feel so I wasn't too surprised by the ambience itself, or lack thereof. I ordered the Big Dam Breakfast, two of my friends had a 2 by something and another fellow diner had a big waffle with sausage on top. The food was DELICIOUS and the portions were generous!... More

We just left this place and it was awesome. Pancakes the size of your head. My three children split one kids meal. I had a pancake and only ate 1/3 because it was so big. It was all delicious too. Everyone was extremely happy with what they got.

Waited over 15 to be helped. I think we just got unlucky because other servers seemed to be great. The food was fantastic when it finally came.
