As advertised the Chicken Fried Steak was excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. This is a fun place to eat.

We came here after spending a day in Palo Duro Canyon and were hungry. This is the place for comfort food. My husband had an excellent chicked-fried steak: real tenderized round steak with a crispy crust (no premade patty) and, of course, cream gravy. I had a loaded baked potato: butter, bacon, sour cream (lots of cholesterol). We also had... More

I dined here on a recommendation from a hotel front desk staff member. I was expecting some local flavor and cool decor, but received bland food and an eclectic (read confusing) decor. Service was prompt and courteous, but the food I ate (chicken fried steak - which the waitperson indicated the place "was known for") was bland and only warmish... More

One of the few places open on a Sunday night between Christmas and the New Year, it was just perfect for us. We read some poor reviews on the Service, and I must say that we found the service was excellent. The Southwestern tortilla soup inspired my son to say it was the best soup he had ever had; the... The food was good enough; the server got our order wrong the first time and it too way to long to get it corrected. Maybe they were just having a bad day… anyone can make a mistake certainly…. Just reporting my experience.

This is a building converted from a factory or garage--no ceiling, noise reverberates. The decor is delightful for kids. Two trains overhead and wall items add to the "ambiance" (a word used loosely here). The staff was friendly and service was prompt. The menu is a little on the sparse side as far as options go--yes, there are 3 or... More

Blew into Canyon for a one night stand and landed at Feldman's. Burgers were scrumptious and starters, we had Railroad Ties and Cowboy Queso, were large portions and delicious. We didn't save room for desserts, but they looked amazing. Top it off with good wait service and we had an excellent experience. Forget about the castaways and stop in at... More

I pride myself on eating out at unique places when I travel. Not only for the experience, but because the food quality tends to step it up a notch. So we went to Feldman's because it wasn't a big box restaurant. The food was big box restaurant food. Cheap cheeses on their Mexican dishes and salads. The service was big... More

Quaint interior with two running model trains. Service for our party of ten was prompt and courteous. All seemed to enjoy their food. My chicken fried steak was average for chicken fried steak which is to say pretty good. Fried pickles were good. Plenty of room for a big gathering.

We arrived late in Canyon. We stopped in here after some other places we tried were closed. They were more than willing to serve us even though it was close to closing time. Our waiter was very nice and sweet. The food was wonderful. Just a tip, my husband and I ate off the lighter side of the menu. It... More
