Real Mexican Food

El Patio is one of my favorite restaurants. I eat here at least once a week. While they have the classic Tex-Mex menu, they also have real Mexican food from different parts of Mexico. They have daily specials. One of my favorites is the stuffed avocado. Their pork chops are delicious, too. If they... read more

This place is, eh, OK to pretty good. I would not go out of my way but good place to eat if you are in the area. We tried various dishes and they are all very good... but there is something missing to go from good to great. Tip: the orange hot sauce is very tasty but insanely hot. ..... More

We did some camping in Palo Duro Canyon and decided to drive into town to grab dinner. This place got good reviews on here, so we decided to give it a shot. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. We had 8 people in our group and all the food came out in good time and all the orders... More

Stopped here while driving through Canyon at lunch time. Had a nice authentic Mexican meal with fresh ingredients. Looked as if the locals ate lunch here.

Clean, consistently great food, impeccable service, daily specials. This restaurant is family owned, and has never wavered from "GREAT" in the 15 years I have been eating there.

The food was much too spicy for my taste. Did not enjoy it. Both the enchilda and tamales. Tamales were not heated enough. Was not asked how I enjoyed my meal.

There are better mexican restaurants in Canyon. Some people like this place but do not care for the food. The staff is nice and will go out of their way at lunch time.

Wow always fresh- made from scratch dishes. Husband owner from Mexico -wife owner from Guatemala so unusual special dishes. Everything you could want from a small local owned cafe-- great personal service very clean and they aim to please so inform them of a special request. I highly recommend EL PATIO

Never have to wait in line! But this is one of the best Mexican food restaurants in the area. Just a 10 minute drive from south Amarillo. Enchiladas, gorditas, nachos, fried avocados - salsa . . .all excellent!
