Went here after seeing it recommended on national trust website, for those visiting their local sites. Had a great pint of ale (recommend the Gold), but sadly had very slow (though friendly) service. Slow to take orders, excruciatingly slow to get starters (and kids meal - cue two angry children), and slow again for the main (took over 2 hours... More

Visited this pub today following a friend's recommendation and we were not disappointed. four of us had Sunday lunch. We could not fault the food which was delicious, freshly prepared and excellent value for money. The staff are friendly whilst not being over bearing. Despite not being a dog owner I love the fact that this pub is dog friendly.... More

This was our second visit to this lovely pub,but what a disappointment after our first. We had reserved a table, but were directed into a cold back area of the pub made worse on a cold February lunchtime by being located by a back door that had to be left open. Seemingly understaffed, the landlady worked very hard and was... More

Living fairly locally, I have visted here a number of times for both drinks and food. Each time, there has been a lovely atmosphere, especially when the cosy fire is on! Staff are always friendly, and so are the locals. Yummy pub food at a reasonable price.

The main reason for our, Sunday, visit was the fact this was a dog friendly pub. The Real Ale brewed on the premises was an added bonus, but wasn't tested as I was driving. The pub grub was a huge portion of Sunday roast with tatties and four different veggies. The staff were welcoming, friendly and good fun. the dog loved... More

Came here in the summer and had the most beautiful meal, lovely, friendly and good value for money. However, on returning with friends for an Xmas catch up it was very different. Dry overlooked food, very small portions and quite pricy. Was just not the same as it was a few months ago. May return back in the summer for... More

As someone who enjoys a decent pint of proper beer just had to try the Radnor Arms with its own microbrewery attached - wasn't disappointed, the beer was superb. The four of us then decided to have some food and the visit went rapidly downhill from there!! It has to be the worst meal we have had in the last... More

Me and my husband had a very nice 3 course meal for under £50 (including drinks) sat in front of the large open fire. Friendly atmosphere and the dogs were welcome. Good beer, local food and friendly, happy waitresses. Very nice to find a traditional country pub! Really do not agree with the comment below, he must of been in... More

My heart usually sinks when I see the waiter/barperson/waitress shuffling around in tatty jeans. With sunken heart I waited over five minutes to be served a drink while two waitresses plus chef chatted to a man with a laptop. He must have been very important because customers were totally ignored. It wasn't worth the long wait for the tasteless brown... More

We have been here a few times and enjoyed the beer and the food acceptable....however we took friends to lunch on Sunday. The menu of local and homemade produce sounds good, when my cod with homemade tartar sauce arrived I was told the was no tartar sauce and got given those little sachets of ketchup etc.I explained I would not have ordered...
