A taste of France in the middle of no-where

We've dined here often and last night's dinner was possibly the best ever. The place s in the middle of Burton, Tx . We were part of a group of eight and everyone was very happy. I had the rack of lamb and it was as good as I've ever had. A number of our group had the mixed grill... read more

WORST Easter Dinner EVER!!! Service was bad steak was charcoal outside raw inside, (ordered medium-well) Husband went to discreetly discuss with waitress she comes over to the table and tells the rest of our party all about how "she feels so bad and we should have told her and now my husband is having a heart attack over the bill"... While there are way too many Mexican and steak restaurants in Washington County, the Brazos Belle Restaurant in Burton is a breath and taste of fresh air. Freshly baked and prepared cuisine and organics. We enjoyed the Salmon with lemongrass marinade, Rack of lamb, and Grilled chicken. And fantastic baked loaves of bread. All served with salad, rice, and vegetables.... More

This restaurant is a diamond in the rough! We come here every time we're in the area and the food is consistently excellent! We had a party of 8 and everyone ordered something different at our table. Each persons food was beautifully presented and delicious! I love the old building and the charming atmosphere! What a wonderful place!

Chef Andre uses only the freshest of ingredients. Excellent salads, and I have not had a better steak. Steaks and Salmon are cooked to perfection. Chef Andre's fresh baked french bread and homemade salad dressing are delicious.

I cannot say enough good things about the Brazos Belle Restaurant! The wait staff are charming and completely knowledgeable on all menu offerings. The food is first class with reasonable pricing, a good wine selection for such a small place, and the chef more often than not, comes around to check on your dining experience there. It is open only... More

My husband and I have driven past this restaurant in quaint Downtown Burton numerous times on our way to Lake Somerville without realizing what it was. We had a family lunch in the cozy 1875-built building today and it was simply delicious! Filet mignon cooked to perfection, LAMB with a Dijon sauce and the freshest vegetables... If you are driving... More

The Belle can stand up to some of the best in Houston, but it's located in tiny Burton, population 300. We have been dining at the Belle for 35 years, through several owners, but Andre does an amazing, consistent job. His high standards are reflected in the selection and preparation. It's always wonderfull.

My husband and I spent a week in Paris last summer and although we had some good meals, none of them were as good as our meals at the Brazos Belle. There are 10 entrees on the menu plus a plate du jour, ranging from $10 to around $35. I am a fan of the steak au poivre but the... More

The Brazos Bell isn't a river boat nor is it on the Brazos River. It's a restaurant in the little country town of Burton,Texas in Washington, County. It's a very quaint place in an old house. Parking is limited the menu is limited as well which has only about 6 items ranging from $29.00 to $40.00,also there was only 3... More

We are very glad that you visited the Brazos Belle and also happy to read that you think the food is good. Unfortunately, you chose to make your first visit during the Round Top Antiques Week. This festival happens twice a year - Spring and Fall. It is (along with Mother's Day) the most busy of times at the Belle.... More
