My husband and I spent a week in Paris last summer and although we had some good meals, none of them were as good as our meals at the Brazos Belle. There are 10 entrees on the menu plus a plate du jour, ranging from $10 to around $35. I am a fan of the steak au poivre but the... More

The Brazos Bell isn't a river boat nor is it on the Brazos River. It's a restaurant in the little country town of Burton,Texas in Washington, County. It's a very quaint place in an old house. Parking is limited the menu is limited as well which has only about 6 items ranging from $29.00 to $40.00,also there was only 3... More

We are very glad that you visited the Brazos Belle and also happy to read that you think the food is good. Unfortunately, you chose to make your first visit during the Round Top Antiques Week. This festival happens twice a year - Spring and Fall. It is (along with Mother's Day) the most busy of times at the Belle.... More

Being new to the area, we were looking for a nicer place to enjoy a dinner with just the two of us (sorry kids!) We were pleasantly surprised with this gem in tiny Burton, TX. The chef prides himself on excellent choices. We had a glass of house cab and merlot, the mixed green salads, and then I had the... More

Classical music lovers need to know 2 things: the Round Top Music Festival and the Brazos Bell Restaurant to have an early dinner between their 3PM concert and their 7PM concert! Chef Andre Delacroix doesn't disappoint with his excellent "baron d'agneau" and his delicious "Mousse au chocolat". While you are in Burton, check out some of the nice property in... More

The restaurant is cute, the waitress was nice, but the food was not good. . . The bread and croutons were hard, the house made vinaigrette was not great, and apparently the only dressing available. My dad does not like vinaigrettes and asked for ranch - it was rather insulting for the waitress to literally bring him a PACKET of... More

I truly am sorry that you did not enjoy your Father's Day lunch at the Belle. You must understand that your unfavorable experience is very definitely in the minority as compared to so many other diner reviews and compliments over the past 20 years. My suggestion is to review any restaurant website before making your plans. Ordering a mimosa was... More

The salad was great. Homemade bread and patte too! I was served the mixed grill. the steak and rice was stellar. We were a group of 20 and were allowed to bring our own wine. The Corking fee was $7.50 per bottle. Dr. Scott W., our host said the bill was reasonable for the occasion. About the Mixed grill, it... More

The food is great; not what you'd expect in a small town. While enjoying conversation, the chef came around to greet all the customers. The peach Melba and strawberry Sunday is terrific

Whenever I hit the road to go antiquing at the Round Top Show, I always go to the Brazos Belle for dinner. This was not exception, three of us went antiquing the weekend before the official Round Top show and took my friends to the Brazos Belle and I was not disappointed. The food has always been exceptional and we... More

We have a weekend place nearby in Winedale. We always go to the Brazos Belle. The chef, Andre, was previously a chef at the Four Seasons In Houston. The food is exquisite but it is not froufrou French food but basic French cooking. The steaks are well prepared and I'm addicted to the Peach Melba. The decor is simple and... More
