This is a relaxing place to stop off the highway for comfort food & an interesting selection of gifts that are changed out frequently.

Traveling through the area and stopped for lunch. We were seated promptly. Most in our party had salads of various types, which were all good, and came as ordered. Our server, Ashleah, was personable and responsive and checked on us regularly. She even offered to provide us with to-go cups for our drinks, which was nice. Always a good experience.

We were staying overnight in Buda and chose Cracker Barrel for Sunday breakfast. The place was clean, the menu is loaded with choices and the staff was friendly and service-oriented. Our waitress even gave us coffee to go when we left. Prices are in line with other chain breakfasts I've had. I'd advise that you get there a little early,... More

Chicken Fried Steak was had by all 4 of our party and everyone thought it was delicious. $9.99 each. Lemonade and soft drinks were $2.19 each. Plates were hot. Although this is a chain, you can certainly count on consistently, high quality, fresh food. Always excellent!

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. The waitress got our order wrong, was not friendly, and never came back to check on us after she dropped off the wrong food. The manager failed to correct our wrong order when we told her the problem. No one came back to even give us a check. The food... More

Cracker Barrel is usually consistent, but this one served dried out food. We were looking forward to the Sunrise Sampler, but it came with hardened, dry hash brown casserole; lukewarm grits that wouldn't even melt butter; and cold sawmill gravy. It was mid-morning about 10:00, so we certainly thought it was still breakfast time. The service was good and it... More

We ate at this location Sunday in a family of six adults and two small children. We were seated at a five foot long table with one adult having to sit at the corner! The adjoining five foot table was never occupied all the time we were there. It took the server over 20 minutes just to get water and... More

There's something on the menu for just about everyone and the food is good on a very consistent bakery (whichever location you visit). I just can't stand all the stuff they sell and that you have to wade through to get to the restaurant, but I guess that is what makes Cracker Barrel, Cracker Barrel.
