This is a Mom and Pop type restaurant not a franchise. small town atmosphere even though Buda has a number of franchises. This would be good for couples, family or friends. We love Nonna Gina's .

We have eaten at Nonna Gina's for the last three years 3 to 4 times a month and it has been wonderful but last night (7/22/2014) was the worse experience ever the chef named Reno told our fantastic waiter that he could not serve olive oil to any one so that was the start of bad. Then we find out... More

Been to Nonna Gina's in 2012. Well worth it. First time I ever ate Polenta. Returned on Tues, June 17, 2014. Menu changed to food you could get at Olive Garden. Prices increased with less food. We made a point to stop there again. Very disappointing. My husband wants to give them 1 more chance but I'm done!

The service here is absolutely the worst!! We arrived and that night there were 3 or 4 waiters working, mind you they only have 15 or so tables. We sat down to a dirty table because there were no clean tables. We waited 10 minutes to even be acknowledged and to get a menu. After that no one bothered to... More

Mom loved the garlic bread! I took one bite, very good (I'm on training diet). I had the Linguine Fasano. Very good! Mom was pleased with her usual Italian fare of spaghetti w/a chance of meatballs. I was very pleased that they play Italian music and old classics on the speakers...and not too loud either. Try this place folks...I'll be... More

What a great little place for delicious Italian food! The prosciutto and provolone flatbread was fabulous! The manicotti melt in your mouth. Thanks for fun and most delizioso evening!

Cleopatra and I are on a road trip to the USGP in Austin, Texas. We are staying in Buda, Texas rather than Austin proper, to keep costs down. At dinner time we went into downtown Buda for some grub. We stopped at Nonna Gina's. This is our first time here. We had a very good waitperson who gave us some... More

Don't know how this place got such good reviews. The food was tasteless. Sauce was like an orange colored soup. The bread we had to ask for was dry, flavorless and tough. The ceiling paint was flaking off in layers. There wasn't a picture hanging straight in the place including the crooked flat screen tv. The lemon Italian cream cake... More

Went with a group of friends. Spent 200.00 and was made to feel like we should fall down and kiss owners feet for allowing us to eat in his restraunt. He told us to never come back. Makes me very sad. Love to support small business owners. This is one I won't. Sad to hear he owns Tavern as well.
