Wonderful Italian in small Texas town

Went in for pizza, but the oven wasn't working so we tried the specials. The one waiter who was also tending bar, was very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was very tasty and there was a fairly good selection of beer. We also split some of the desserts. Overall, it was very good.

My husband and I went to Nonna Gina's for Valentine's Day planning to get our favorite meals. He had made reservations and we were extremely excited since we have always enjoyed the quaint environment and good food. Unfortunately, since it was a special occasion, they had a certain menu where you only had a couple of options for dinner. For... More

Every appetizer is a must. The meatballs are fabulous and the pizza is top notch. I enjoy the friendship bread with the olive oil mix for dipping.

I love this place they have really good pasta and the specials are decent. We went there 2 weeks ago for pizza and they said there ovens were down. That night we ordered some pasta and had a good meal. Two nights I go there with my dad and we wanted to order pizza. We waited 5 minutes and the... More

Went in during the week to order a meal to go. Stood by the bar for 15 minutes and no one acknowledged me. I finally reached over the counter and grabbed a menu. After looking at the menu, waited 10 more minutes, still no acknowledgement , I finally ask one of the waiters if I was standing in the right... More

Hubby and I decided to try this quaint Italian place Saturday night after church. We arrived just in time---by the way you seat yourself. It is a small place( about 12 tables?) so if the place is full you will need to wait outside on the covered sidewalk. Our waiter promptly asked for our beverage order--nice selection of wines. We... This is a Mom and Pop type restaurant not a franchise. small town atmosphere even though Buda has a number of franchises. This would be good for couples, family or friends. We love Nonna Gina's .

We have eaten at Nonna Gina's for the last three years 3 to 4 times a month and it has been wonderful but last night (7/22/2014) was the worse experience ever the chef named Reno told our fantastic waiter that he could not serve olive oil to any one so that was the start of bad. Then we find out... More

Been to Nonna Gina's in 2012. Well worth it. First time I ever ate Polenta. Returned on Tues, June 17, 2014. Menu changed to food you could get at Olive Garden. Prices increased with less food. We made a point to stop there again. Very disappointing. My husband wants to give them 1 more chance but I'm done!
