Good Texas BBQ

My family and I made it a point to try Fargo's for lunch while we were in College Station. In my opinion, the ribs were the best choice of all of the different meats that Fargo's had to offer. They had the right amount of smoky flavor and were tender. The ribs were also very meaty. I though that... read more

Located in a non descript building (looks like a former chicken restaurant), I was unsuccessful on my first visit when I pulled in at 4:30 pm and surprisingly found the place with a big sign - Closed, no more bbq. Disappointed but also seemed to be a good sign. Went back today earlier and ordered some ribs plus trimmed brisket.... More

Reading BBQ reviews always intrigues me because everyone's taste and experience is different. Here is my experience. Brisket was a little dry, but tasty and tender. I just put the brisket on the bread, added a bit of the sauce (a little thicker and more tomatoey than the typical TX sauce) and had a great sandwich! Ribs were competition quality... More

I read the reviews and the glowing praise. Maybe at their best they are better. I had the ribs, brisket and pulled pork. I asked for brisket off the point but they only had flats left. They were overcooked but good. They sliced them pretty thick (a trick for overcooked brisket) and had a nice flavor. SMALL smoke ring. Ribs... More

Stopped here passing thru and was totally disappointed. The sausage was dry shad two more hours it would be jerky. The sandwich was ok. Not what I expected according to the reviews.

I heard about Fargo's through a friend and I felt a little ashamed not knowing there was a world famous BBQ joint in Bryan/Cstat after living here so long. Fargos is a blue collar as it gets and the place usually fills up around 1 with folks on their lunch break. The building is no-frills but the cooking out of... More

its all been said in the other reviews, it's all good. I tried the chicken and moist (fatty) brisket they were both so good I had to go back and order some ribs just to try them, I wasn't disappointed. I would go early, it's not to big of a place and I imagine it gets pretty busy

This place by far has the best BBQ around the Bryan/College Station area. I have eaten at my fair share of places and this one beats them all. I don't know what it is about the BBQ that makes it good, but the brisket was amazing, ribs were great, sausage was great. I didn't get the chicken because by the... More

I went here while visiting Bryan, as the reviews were good. The lean brisket was tender and juicy, great smoke flavor! The baked beans tasted like Bush's with a little cinnamon or some spice in them. I would recommend this place if you are in town!
