Fun place to eat

Burgers, onion rings and cold soft drinks are perfect. The best part of Chicken Oil is the decor. I could stay there for hours just looking around! You've got to check out this historical place while in Bryan-College Station!

Maddison, whom was our waitress for the evening, was a delight and full of wonderful advice. Her bubbly attitude was a pleasure. The salad was very succulent and fresh. The best glass of wine: Paulo Cabernet Sauvignon. Rib eye was very tender and delicious.

Overall I thought the atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable, made only better by being located in the middle of vineyards. There are, in my opinion, some ±’s. As some reviewers have noted, the chairs are cushy and soft. While some may find these comfy, I found them to be a bit annoying b/c they are too low to the ground.... More

As our first stop on bluebonnet wine and cheese trail I must say this was a beautiful vineyard! The tastings were beyond excellent! The goat cheese pastry was heaven! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable! I will definitely come back and spend more time here !! If only there were more time in the day!! This is a must stop!

I can't say enough about this place...I took my Mom out for a nice meal and some wine and were taken aback by the cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and OUTSTANDING food. Were were so impressed with each course and could have stayed there forever. The huge cushy chairs near the windows were AWESOME - highly recommended - and the lamb... More

We spent a delightful evening at the Vintage House for a private event hosted by Sam Houston State University. The food served was wonderful and the selection of wines was very good. The service was friendly and efficient. In addition to a fine dining experience, this is an excellent venue for private parties.

The family came here for holiday photos and drink. The tasting room is cozy, with helpful staff to explain the wide range of house made wines. They also offer up cheese and other snacks to accompany your drink. There is also a restaurant and gift shop on site. Make sure and take a walk out back to see the vineyards

Our high expectations were more than justified! This beautiful property boasts a vineyard, tasting rooms, a lovely B & B, and a restaurant of culinary delight!! We started with the panco breaded Brie wedge w/raspberry chipotle sauce - yum!! My husband ordered the Blackened NY Strip (MR) w/chive mashed potatoes - amazing! The chef clearly has an expert hand at... More

Loved the Messina Hof experience. Took the cellar tour and then had dinner. Fantastic food. I had the mixed grill and my girlfriend had the filet. Both the filets and lamb were excellent as well as the vegetables and mashed potatoes. The bread was delicious also. I liked the atmosphere but to be honest I was nervous bc I was... More

I wrote a previous review about how our anniversary was ruined. The manager, Scott Sloan, responded to that review, inviting us back to "make things right". We took him up on that offer and I took my husband there as a surprise for Father's Day. We sat in the back room by the windows, overlooking the vineyard. It was beautiful.... More
