Fun place to eat

Burgers, onion rings and cold soft drinks are perfect. The best part of Chicken Oil is the decor. I could stay there for hours just looking around! You've got to check out this historical place while in Bryan-College Station!

Sarah was wonderful to recommend specials of the day. My husband tried the duck for first time and love the tenderness. Everything was perfect. Servers all went out of there way to make you feel like you were priority but never make you feel rushed. In this town full of standard chain restaurants this one is special and you will... More

This was a wonderful place to spend a magical day. My wife's birthday we decided to take a wine tasting tour of the cellar at Medina Hof. Michael D and his assistant, forgive me I don't remember her name, were so professional, informative and fun! They made the tour rock! We dined at the restaurant located next door. The ambience... My husband and I ate here after the cellar tour. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and intimate. We were seated right by the window and could look out ontothe vineyard. What a great view! The food was absolutely delectable and wonderfully presented. We had cherries jubilee for desert and that was a fun little show! Our server Danny was absolutely amazing.... More

We have been here before for dinner, but this time we wanted to take an old friend to a nice place for lunch. We are glad that we chose this restaurant. The setting is spectacular, and we were just about the only folks in the well-appointed dining room for lunch. The choice of lunch items was good, and the service... More

Maddison, whom was our waitress for the evening, was a delight and full of wonderful advice. Her bubbly attitude was a pleasure. The salad was very succulent and fresh. The best glass of wine: Paulo Cabernet Sauvignon. Rib eye was very tender and delicious.

Overall I thought the atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable, made only better by being located in the middle of vineyards. There are, in my opinion, some ±’s. As some reviewers have noted, the chairs are cushy and soft. While some may find these comfy, I found them to be a bit annoying b/c they are too low to the ground.... More

As our first stop on bluebonnet wine and cheese trail I must say this was a beautiful vineyard! The tastings were beyond excellent! The goat cheese pastry was heaven! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable! I will definitely come back and spend more time here !! If only there were more time in the day!! This is a must stop!

I can't say enough about this place...I took my Mom out for a nice meal and some wine and were taken aback by the cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and OUTSTANDING food. Were were so impressed with each course and could have stayed there forever. The huge cushy chairs near the windows were AWESOME - highly recommended - and the lamb... More

We spent a delightful evening at the Vintage House for a private event hosted by Sam Houston State University. The food served was wonderful and the selection of wines was very good. The service was friendly and efficient. In addition to a fine dining experience, this is an excellent venue for private parties.
