First, let us start off with what this is not... Not traditional "tex mex" most Texans are familar with. More use of flour tortillas, not much cumin or yellow cheese. It does not have the "fire" but subtle flavors and notes. Having just come from Arizona and having eaten Sonoran style food, I very much appreciated Jose's. Looks small from... More

Locally owned. Quick service. Great attentiveness by the wait staff. They keep your drinks full, chips filled, and are always polite and friendly no matter how busy they are. The prices are good and the quality and quantity and excellent. Highly recommended!

Locally owned Mexican place offers a nice alternative to all of the chain Tex-Mex restaurants in the area. Food is pretty good, and it is very inexpensive. Offer daily lunch specials.

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at this restaurant. Raquel took great pains in making this night special. There was a personal message on the restaurant sign. Upon entering the restaurant, the aroma of the food awakened my hunger. The back part was decorated with white linen tablecloths and blue helium balloons placed throughout the room giving it a festive... More

Ok. So after reading the 'mostly' awesome reviews for this restaurant we decided to stop by and have a try on our way to take my daughter to camp. Greeted, ok that's nice. "sit where you want", excellent. My daughter ordered the chicken quesadillas, my boyfriend the chimichanga, and myself attempted to order the chile rellenos taco meat instead of... More

Jose's Mexican Food is absolutely wonderful. It is not your typical greasy TexMex gut fill. The service is always excellent, and the food is always consistently delicious. I have tried many of their menu items, and I have yet to experience a bad meal. Their chile rellenos are to die for. They use a large pablano pepper, stuffed with roast... More

Absolutely the best Mexican food in Bryan, Tx. Authentic food and excellent service. Easy in and out and very conveniently located. The staff is friendly and food is awesome. The enchiladas and bean and rice is good and the caldo de res is the best. Food is priced well. Love this place!!!!! On Mother's Day they gave every mother a... More

This has always been one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Grew up nearby and fell in love at the first visit. The flautas with the potatoes are my all time favorite and the beef enchiladas the other favorite. I am sure I must have tried other things at some time, but these are my go-to's. But the very best thing... More

Just came back from this place, and I'm feeling good. I had Enchiladas and they were really good. We took our clients there and no complains. From outside it doesn't look like much but you have to go there and try it.

We come to Bryan once every year or so & always eat at Jose's. The first time we ate there I ordered the chili rellano & it was so good that I have not been able to bring myself to ordering something else. It is so different from any others I have had. The huge Pablano peppers are stuffed with... More
