Always Consistently Good

My wife and I like to dine out frequently, and one of our favorite locations is Jose's. In fact we recently went there twice in a three day span. I get tired of the greasy Tex-Mex fare. Very busy with minimal wait-staff. Our group was 8 people waited 20 mi to be seated. The dining room was very noisy. so much so we had to yell to talk to the person sitting next to us. The waiter was good and did his best to care for our table. He did keep the chips, salsa & tea full... More

We were in town for the night and asked the clerk at the hotel for a good Mexican place and this one came highly recommended. It had good reviews for the most part too so we gave it a try. The service was good but the food was just okay. The queso was orange which threw me a little, but... More

My husband and I started eating at Jose's in the late 80s when we were at A&M. Back then it was in a secluded house way out on Harvey Road, before a fire burned it down. Now our daughter goes to A&M, and each time we visit, we eat here! I never ever get anything other than enchiladas nortenas, but... More

Friendly service. Cheese enchiladas are delicious. Chips are thin, crisp, hot and fresh. Their hot sauce is a bit on the bland side but I like hot n' spicy.

First, let us start off with what this is not... Not traditional "tex mex" most Texans are familar with. More use of flour tortillas, not much cumin or yellow cheese. It does not have the "fire" but subtle flavors and notes. Having just come from Arizona and having eaten Sonoran style food, I very much appreciated Jose's. Looks small from... More

Locally owned. Quick service. Great attentiveness by the wait staff. They keep your drinks full, chips filled, and are always polite and friendly no matter how busy they are. The prices are good and the quality and quantity and excellent. Highly recommended!

Locally owned Mexican place offers a nice alternative to all of the chain Tex-Mex restaurants in the area. Food is pretty good, and it is very inexpensive. Offer daily lunch specials.

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at this restaurant. Raquel took great pains in making this night special. There was a personal message on the restaurant sign. Upon entering the restaurant, the aroma of the food awakened my hunger. The back part was decorated with white linen tablecloths and blue helium balloons placed throughout the room giving it a festive... More

Ok. So after reading the 'mostly' awesome reviews for this restaurant we decided to stop by and have a try on our way to take my daughter to camp. Greeted, ok that's nice. "sit where you want", excellent. My daughter ordered the chicken quesadillas, my boyfriend the chimichanga, and myself attempted to order the chile rellenos taco meat instead of... More
