Great choice for a nice quiet dinner

Despite it's modest location and appearance, this little restaurant offers fine dining in an upscale environment at reasonable prices. They have a decent wine selection and the menu offerings are diverse. I had the duck and it was excellent. Give this restaurant a try. You won't be disappointed.

I have had some good meals here and at least one terrible meal. This week I had some great Shrimp Risotto with asparagus. Very fine! My guest had the beef medallions which were fine but his potatoes were very similiar to what you would have at a fast food fried chicken place. I was served beef here once that had... More

Gathering of 9 friends/co-workers last night at La Riviera. Not busy but our party and another good sized one. Slow service. The salad I love the most, Strawberry and Brie was bitter. 1 strawberry sliver, a couple of pecans, no discernible dressing. Fried shrimp was bland, potatoes were lukewarm. Creme Brûlée was just okay. A little bland. Took forever to... More

The best restaurant in the bryan/college station area. Food was fresh but slow in being served but well worth the wait.

I have dined at La Riviera on a number of occasions and have generally had good experiences. We dined at La Riviera on a Friday night. The place was busy, which impacted the quality of the service and the ambiance. The food was very good - my wife had the Grilled Salmon and I had the House Filet - and... More

It is easy to miss this restaurant as it is in a strip mall. However, it is very nice on the inside. The decor is warm and inviting. The food is well prepared, tasty, and the prices quite reasonable for a more upscale dining experience. The chef does a nice job of the presentation, I have eaten here several times... More

Over time, the restaurant has improved the décor and work with somewhat difficult space. One nice aspect is two private rooms available to reserve. The food is always good and not overly pretentious. They have great deserts because of experience as a bakery.

The food is excellent--my favorite item: shrimp enchiladas. Waitstaff knowledgeable and friendly. Not inexpensive but well worth the price. My visits have always found the place quiet and dignified. La Riviera is probably my favorite B/CS restaurant.

This restaurant was such a pleasant surprise. I went there because I had a gift cert that was about to expire. Wish I had gone sooner. The food , ambiance and wine list were incredible. I started with Oysters Rockefeller and then had the beef tenderloins and would put this dish up against any 4 star reassurance in Houston. Brandon... More

Unpretentious location in a strip mall on the main drag (Texas Avenue) near the Bryan-College Station border. However inside is a well decorated, quiet, upscale restaurant with good service. Good menu selection. Nice wine list. Everybody in our party of four enjoyed the food. The crab/seafood cake appetizer was delicious. The fried shrimp was fresh and very tasteful. They also... More
