La Riviera has always been one of the restaurants on our family's local 'dining circuit'. Ambiance is relaxing; slow service hasn't been a problem.
We were a group of 12 people celebrating a couple's anniversary. We made reservations weeks in advance with a follow-up confirmation a day ahead. We requested the private room and we were assured that it was available. When we arrived, we were told that the room was not available that evening after all. Once seated, it took 25 minutes to... This place was recommended to me by a colleague. When I first spotted it I thought I'd been made the butt of a joke. It's tucked away in a strip mall and you can't really tell whether you're going to open the door and find a doughnut shop or a cafe, but you're fairly certain that whatever lurks within is... More
Im really suprised that this place is in a strip mall. Definitely not what you expect when you walk in. The place doesnt look over pretentious, love the big doors that seperate the space. The menu is amazing and so is the food. I do believe that you need more seasoned servers in a place of this caliber but over... More
About every couple of months I have lunch with a friend who lives close to a two hour drive away; we alternate having lunch in my area or his. Today was my turn to host, and we dined at La Riviera. I had made reservations a week before online. Our server was Laura, and she could not have been more... More
Sure, locals rave about it, but I remained skeptical...until we went. Chicken crepes were savory and crisp and went very nicely with a glass of albarinho. Service, although a bit rough, was friendly and efficient. The only off note was the rosemary in the salad - it didn't quite work for me. But an in-house raspberry tart was just the... More
Granted it was a busy night but, we were seated in the back room and ignored. The food was ok nothing amazing but, the service was bad. Food quantity was small but the price wasn't.
Excellent buffet for Thanksgiving. Plenty of entrees, like turkey (of course), roast beef, chicken Florentine and salmon. Lots of vegetable sides including grilled veggies. And the dessert end of the buffet was great. I only had three but they were all great.
This is one of the best Italian Restaurants in this area by far! I love their desserts and its classy and makes you feel so homey and like you are in a big city - great atmosphere, clean, comfy and great food!
La Riviera has become my favorite restaurant in the Bryan-College Station area. Once again the food was nothing less than superb--creative and delicious. Service is excellent and attentive. The menu has variety with meat, seafood, pasta, and vegetarian selections. The wine list is modest, but with plenty of good wines. La Riviera will be one of my regulars.
