I learned of this place on a lunch break from a friend that knew of my desire for my Manhattan atmosphere since moving to Texas. I was more than impressed! It was a 100% in New York City atmosphere and style..thank you Steve's!

We stopped off in Brownwood for lunch on route to Austin as part of an epic roadtrip. The fresh and tasty food at Steve's was a much welcomed change from burgers and tasteless sandwiches we had been experiencing. The salad, sandwich and cake were all gorgeous but it was the home-made soup which was truely delicious. The cafe was full... More

Steve's has it figured out. Basic clean and healthy ingredients. A daily special. Quirky dining room. Perfect hours. (Just a few hours around lunch time, M-F.) It seems to work. The only issue is that there is very limited seating, so if you get there on a day with the rest of the town, you may not get a seat.... More

So glad we decided to try Steves'. The food was wonderful - worth a wait, as seating is limited. We will definitely be back when in the Brownwood area.

We were on our way from Austin to Amarillo and looking for something good to eat and break up our long drive. After looking thru Tripadvisor reviews, we decided this was the place. We were not disappointed! When we got there, it was full and we noticed a dry erase board, we put our name on it and relaxed. In... More

The food at Steve's is super fresh, and plentiful! I wouldn't hesitate to take the biggest food critic to Steve's. The atmosphere is fun, lots of quirky items to look at and the service has always been perfect. Prices are quite reasonable, especially for the quality and quantity of the food. We eat there at least once a week. I... More

At 11:00 sharp it happens .. The door to Steve's Deli opens & the little sign on sidewalk flips over to open.. Instantly car doors open and the early birds get the tables. You see spacious is not what Steve's is about.. It's about unbelievable quality of food. I had the special which was angus pastrami with German potatoe as... More

We decided on sandwiches from Steves for a small wedding reception. That was the easy part. When I tried to call to order they had a message saying that they were no longer accepting to go orders!!! My first thought was ohh crap...everyone had already decided on what they want and now I have to change plans! I tried a... More
