This was our first visit to Brenham and after checking out the Yelp recommendations we chose the Grill for our post-Uptown Swirl dinner. I ordered the Texas Cobb Salad and my lovely wife had the eggplant parmesan. The service was prompt, although a little confusing as we had three servers, but each took great care of us. The salad was... More

Breakfast is included in your stay at the Ant St., welcome to anything on the menu. Breakfast was good. Nice chunks of red sautéed potatoes with onions, soft scrambled eggs...the salsa was definitely homemade and tasty. Service speedy.

Stopped in downtown Brenham to walk around before heading to Blue Bell and had lunch here. Cool little place in an old hotel with an impressive stained glass chandelier. Lunch was only okay; I had a cup of tortilla soup with half a chicken salad sandwich; both were fine. The fruit cup that came with it was straight out of... More

Stumbled upon this grill in historic Brenham. Lovely setting in an old hotel with lots of history. I enjoyed the chicken tender salad and delicious warm fresh bread. My husband said his chicken fried steak was extremely good as it wasn't smothered in gravy so he could really enjoy the meat. Wait staff was attentive and friendly even though we... More

Because it’s part of the Ant Street Inn, we probably expected this restaurant to be better than it actually is. Although the service and atmosphere are good, the pork chops were only fair, and the lasagna was not as good as Stouffer’s. The huge, stained-glass chandelier is worth checking out.

The stained glass is beautiful and restaurant charming. Very nice margarita. Fajitas for two more than enough food and delicious.

There was a wide selection of choices from Mexican to Italian to comfort food. Service was fabulous. The husband's chicken fried chicken looked great, but the meat loaf was so-so. Maybe I'm just partial to my own recipe. No refills on Cokes. Beautiful original bar and stained glass ceiling light.

Quaint Texas eateries never fail to surprise us. Situated in the same downtown historic building as the popular BnB, the Ant Street Inn, the Brenham Grill was a marvel of seafood, steaks, Tex-Mex, and homemade Italian! This award-winning family run restaurant was appreciated not just for the variety of it's menu and super friendly service, but even more so for... More

Met friends on Sat. Night during a downtown festival, Hot Nights Cool Tunes. Had a bit of a wait but there were 6 of us and they are small. No worries, once we were seated, things ran smoothly, food was good and the fresh bread with oil/herbs was amazing, we asked for more.
