We had been here before a few years ago. They are only open for lunch daily 11-3. We enjoy sitting on the screened in deck and watching the planes take off and land. Good burgers, chicken etc.

So you always take a chance when you order a grilled chicken sandwich because so many places overcook it until it's dry and gross. The Southern Flyer grilled the chicken perfectly. The fries were also quite nice and my son loved his cheeseburger. The parking lot was very small but the restaurant isn't that big so I guess it makes... More

This is a nifty place with good food, but you have to go at the right time. It's a small place so if the Sons of Anarchy show up to eat, you'll be waiting a while. Get a milkshake. You won't regret it.

The place takes you back in the 50's and is open from 11am to 3pm so plan accordingly. We went from College Station for Lunch and the hamburgers are to die for. Simply Best of the Best & wouldn't mind taking the beaten path again for some.

Must stop in Brenham, TX or even worth the detour. Old style diner where the waitresses wear poodle skirts, like stepping back into the 50's. Great place for burgers, chicken fried steak or milk shakes. Tends to be crowded, as it only opens between 11 am and 3 pm.

this was a great find! i'm so glad i researched, because you definitely wouldn't stumble upon this place. we had two small kids with us, so i knew they'd love seeing the airplanes. it was too hot to sit on the patio, so we were a little disappointed when we were told we couldn't sit at the empty 6-person table... We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed watching the planes taking off and landing right by the restaurant. The service was excellent. We had the 5 vegetable plate lunch and enjoyed it all. Freshly cooked vegetables and nice servings. Just right for lunch.

We always eat here during our annual bluebonnet trek. There's a totally screened back porch area, safe for young children (they can't "escape"). We always order the small portion chicken fried steak. It wasn't as good as in prior years, but everyone can have an off day. If you're in the area, this is a truly unique restaurant, and I... More

I had seen this restaurant on The Daytripper. We were headed to Brenham and we decided to give it a try. You would never guess at the end of the traveled roads would be a restaurant. Plenty of people were there when we arrived, so we thought it must be good. It was! Diner type of food. Service with a... More

I went there today for lunch and I order the hamburger. It was really good, hell yeah! I am a food place blogger from Italy and I have been in Houston for one year. This hamburger was one of the best ones in Texas. The service was really quick and the waitress so nice. What a cool place, it takes... More
