Came for the Malt, Stayed for Lunch

On a day trip to the Antique Rose Emporium, we stopped in here for a malt and to see the planes, with plans to eat elsewhere in Brenham. Very interesting place to eat while you watch the planes fly in or take off. Definitely eat on the outside area and have one of their famous malts. All the entrees are great. Take your children along because on a beautiful sunny day they love watching the planes. Very casual place but very busy.

Overpriced for the quality of food receive. Something has changed from a few years ago. Guess fun to take the kids or Adults to see the plans. Not a place to go for the food. Tab add up fast. Brenham has alot better places to eat .

We had fun here. The atmosphere is great. It's located right at the landing strip of the local airport. Private planes pull up constantly. The waitstaff are dressed in poodle skirts, and the decor matches that theme. The food was good, not the best ever. But, the atmosphere makes up for it. You must take the kids here.

Been here quite a few times, it's okay, but not one of our "favs". Cute décor. Mainly go here to see the planes come and go.

This is a nice out-of-the-way restaurant which features good comfort food in classic Fifties decor. Screened patio dining and imside boorhs and tables with a large pond and active airport for diversion. The waitresses are in poodle skirts. We had the Classic Burger Fried Catfish, Cheese Quesadilla, and Iced Teas. Friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere.

We love to sit outside at this diner, watch planes come and go, and enjoy the homemade food. This place can be very busy on weekend with pilots flying in, so best to arrive a bit early. Even if you have to wait, it's worth the time to do so! ,

This is a throwback 1950's diner at the Brenham airport. As is the case with many of the excellent restaurants of the area, you might need to plan your trip here. Menu is not cheap, but the servings are generous and always good. Standard diner fare of burgers, chicken, true malts, fries. The airport is not really a commercial airport.... More

Once again we had a great experience at the Southern Flyer! Weather was perfect so we dined outside on the patio to watch the planes take off and land. Food and service was great!

This is a fun place to eat as you can see the plane land at Brenham Airport and have a good burger at the same time. Poodle skirts can never went out of style at this establishment.
