having lunch at this airport is interesting

and NOTHING like eating lunch at a large airport (i.e. Houston International - "Bush" - IAH) They are only open for lunch (but open 7 days a week) and the food is very good, although there isn't a huge selection (and lots of fried food!) Come in good weather and eat on the screened in patio!

First walk into the diner took me back to the 1960's with the girls poodle skirts. I always enjoy being at an airport but the food was just average. Service was prompt and pleasant, just wish our hamburgers were not so heavy.

The food was adequate but you go for the atmosphere. Waitresses in poodle skirts in a diner at a small county airport. A little bit of history and just a fun stop.

My sister-in-law and I planned a trip to Brenham, and I researched the area. I found the listing for the diner, and it looked like fun. I'm glad I had looked it up, because there is nothing to tell you it is there. You head into their little airport and to the left is a a big building - but... More

Located inside the local municipal airport, this is a tiny diner who's high school waitstaff wear poodle skirts and saddle shoes, and patrons can put their quarters in the jukebox. Great food, but be prepared to wait upwards of an hour for a table. Planes fly in from all over the country with 2 or more people onboard, plus tourists... More

The best thing about this restaurant is the beautiful setting on a porch overlooking the bluebonnets and buttercups with a breeze blowing. Service was EXCELLENT, so don't believe anything else you read about this restaurant. Those girls can move! Food was hot, but catfish was a bit overcooked (maybe cooked twice???). All and all, it was interesting, but not the... More

My husband and I arrived around 1pm on a Saturday. The wait was an hour which wasn't a problem. After all, it was one of our first beautiful Spring weekends and there were a lot of people out enjoying the bluebonnets. We opted to eat inside since it was around 65 degrees outside and I'm a Texas girl who doesn't... More

Been a regular at the Southern Flyer since it opened. Was there to see the Texas Raiders B-17 on the grand opening. Just the best $100 hamburger stop for pilots and lucky passengers from all around this part of the state. Get there early before they run out of Apple pies and peach cobbler that are locally made. The Bluebell... More

The food was great and the wait staff wear poodle skirts. I had the ceasar salad because we were headed to The Blue Bell Factory. The salad was delicious. The atmosphere was great. We did not see a plane fly in but the weather was cold so we did not sit outside to long after our meal. Everyone was very... More
