My husband and I stopped in this lovely diner for lunch (hours are from 11:00-3:00), and had an absolutely wonderful time! The waitresses wear poodle skirts and are all very attentive. The jukebox plays oldies music which brought back wonderful memories of days gone by. We both ordered hamburgers and they were very tasty and HUGE! In fact, neither one... More

If you are heading up to Brenham, Texas some afternoon for lunch (11-3), you have to try the Southern Flyer Diner at the Brenham Airport. The waitresses dress in poodles skirts and the burgers are 8 oz of wonderfulness, as are the homemade coconut cream pie and blackberry cobbler, with or without Bluebell Homemade Vanilla. Rumor has it that the... More

Unique and delicious! Took a group of seniors over the age of 60 and they loved it, The food was great, a variety of sandwiches, dinners, and fantastic desserts, yummy! The bobbie socks, poodle shirts, and saddle shoes give the Southern Flyer a unique atmosphere that can't be found anywhere else!!

The Airport Diner is for lunch only (11a-3pm). It's traditional 1950's drive-in style food, served by friendly teenage girls in poodle skirts. I usually get the Paddy-melt, which better here than anywhere else I've been. I like the crispy fries, and I like that they don't give you too many of them. It's hard to beat Blue Belle ice cream... This 50s diner is complete with waitresses in poodle skirts and 50s music on the jukebox. Fun for old folks to reminisce and fun for young folks to watch planes come and go at the airport. The food's good, too! The burger was great and the malt was made with Blue Bell ice cream ..... can't get much better than... More

I was told by my pilot friend that a pilot would fly way out of his way to find a place like this. I can see why! It was a very enjoyable experience! The day was HOT so the patio was less appealing than it will be (we hope) in a few weeks but inside was cool and festive. Our... More

We had been here before quite a while ago. Now I remember why we had not been back. The FOOD is good, I had the fried catfish-cooked just the way I like it! Others at the table had smothered steak, good, and chicken fried steak-good. The problem is the noise level- The only way to have a conversation is to... More

I overheard the owner saying that while they are famous for burgers, burgers are not the best thing on the menu. And while I only had a burger, I could definitely see that. The burger was certainly very good - very homemade - you can see and taste the spices in the meat just like making patties at home. The... More

We had been here before a few years ago. They are only open for lunch daily 11-3. We enjoy sitting on the screened in deck and watching the planes take off and land. Good burgers, chicken etc.
