I had seen this restaurant on The Daytripper. We were headed to Brenham and we decided to give it a try. You would never guess at the end of the traveled roads would be a restaurant. Plenty of people were there when we arrived, so we thought it must be good. It was! Diner type of food. Service with a... More

I went there today for lunch and I order the hamburger. It was really good, hell yeah! I am a food place blogger from Italy and I have been in Houston for one year. This hamburger was one of the best ones in Texas. The service was really quick and the waitress so nice. What a cool place, it takes... More

We live in Houston and we made the trip on a Sunday morning to have lunch here. It was well worth it... A nice and scenic drive to this great little restaurant. The food was great and the atmosphere was fantastic! Highly recommended for anybody who enjoys the old time small town environment

It's a nice 50's feel , nice old juke box . You can sit inside or outside. We sat inside bit cold out plus bit loud from planes . The food was good quick and fairly priced. They were so busy that we were over looked a few times on refills and trying to get a take home box. When... More

I enjoy the Southern Flyer Diner. I ate a chicken fried steak and it was great. The tea was great too. I love the 50s feel. Great Family Restaurant!

After visiting the Blue Bell Creameries, we went here for lunch. The 50's diner concept is cute, but the cuteness ended at that. The food was good, but very overpriced. Service was super slow. Heard the servers saying they were short staffed, but that shouldn't have been an excuse. Took over 15 minutes to pay our bill-not acceptable. Were at... More

We went to this diner for the first time as part of our anniversary celebration. At first, the waitress seated us inside the diner. It was loud, and not much of an atmosphere. So, we asked to change tables, to one on the patio, where we could watch the planes land and take off. They were a bit reluctant at... More

We had the grandkids with us while visiting Washington on the Brazon and other Texas landmarks. I thought the kids might enjoy a step back in time., so we lunched at the Southern Flyer Diner. The insdie was decorated in a cute 50's style, but desite it being a rather warm day, we elected to dine outside. We were seated... More

Great food, fun atmosphere and good service. Awesome all-American hamburger and only 25 cents for 5 plays on the jukebox!
