No longer Italian. It is a Mexican restaurant. We haven't eaten there as Mexican. Will report later.

It was only because of enthusiastic recommendations from three locals that we ignored a couple of scathing reviews of this restaurant and took a chance. As a result, my sister and I had two delicious meals (Chicken Piccata and Eggplant Parmigiana). Large, homemade, freshly-baked dinner rolls were served with a small salad. The latter was the only disappointing part of... More

Disgusting! I should have known when the place was deserted. The tea was old, the soup was lukewarm, and the sampler tasted worse than an off brand frozen meal. The manicotti tasted like a noodle wrapped around ricotta cheese, the beef in the lasagna looked like processed grey school lunch meat. When we asked to remove the sampler, the waitress... More

The owners and cook are actually from Sicily...which makes for interesting conversation. However, don't always presume that since a person is from a wonderful region for food, that they can actually cook. I had given this place numerous opportunities to prepare different dishes, all of which have not had any flavor. Stick with any brand name Italian franchise for better... More

Sorry for the folks who had negative experiences but I've eaten here dozens of times and only once had anything negative happen (very slow service). Yes, the salads are just ordinary but I don't come for the salads. Unless I'm in really the mood for nouveaux Italian, I'll always choose this over Volare's and, in fact, all but the one... More

Food was too salty and had little other flavor. Service was slow. Not worth another visit.

Colosseum usually has very friendly people and owners working. Their bread is excellent, their salad is poor. The soup we had (minestrone) was out of a can and not very good. Chicken Diane and a similar dish are decent. Their pizzas are huge and great if you are feeding a bunch of kids. However, the pizza is not excellent (quantity... More

Manicotti - velvety smooth filling inside tender pasta. Hard to find as authentic as this in Texas. The tomato sauce was sweet and chunky then topped with cheese. Wife had a spicy chicken dish (can't remember the name) and the chicken was tender, perfectly cooked. Very good dish. The only negatives - salad was out of a bag and the... More
