Although I'd stated I wouldn't come back, this time I was genuinely pleased. As one of two "dining" places in town, this restaurant was my wife's choice to celebrate her birthday. The Agnello Materano (grilled lamb chops) were excellent, along with spinach and pasta, made for a delightful meal. Our waiter, Daniel, although extremely busy, was especially attentive. And, after... More

My wife and I have been married 45 years. Our anniversary was on the 4th of July Weekend. We have lived in the greater Houston area for over 30 years. We wanted a small town laid back 4th. We chose the area around Brenham, TX. We attended the parade in Chappell Hill, TX. It was a great time! Then we... More

The food here is prepared with fresh ingredients with a menu and quality that rivals the best Italian restaurants in the big cities. Volare is located in a converted house and is easy to overlook--but well worth seeking out. I enjoyed a salmon dish with artichokes and a dill sauce that was incredible! Pricing is very reasonable; if you are... More

Went for a birthday dinner. The waiter brought bread, two pieces for two people. My husband order a chicken pasta dish that was very bland, lacking any seasoning. I ordered a veal dish that was decent. I wound up sharing with my husband. Portion sizes are small for an Italian place. We ordered our dinner and water, no apps, no... More

The restaurant is charming in a wood frame house with plenty of space. Menu offers a good selection of Italian entrees and a nice wine list. We enjoyed our meal, and had good service!

Food was ok, but service was out of sync as tables who arrived after us were served ahead. Also a table across the room could not find their indoor voice; saying that waiter did say something. Wine list was better than expected

There were six of us and everyone enjoyed it. Pork loin, fish dish and chicken were all really good. Nice atmosphere and great service.

Nice quiet atmosphere in an historic building with a diverse menu. Their one vegan entree was quite good but they put cheese on the salad. I had Dentice Alla Livornese which was a perfectly prepared snapper fillet with a light onion and tomato sauce with scrumptious spinach. Torta Al Cioccolato was excellent and the decaf coffee was freshly brewed and... More

we dined at Volare on Saturday night May 31st and were extremely disappointed. We ordered grouper which had a distinctive smell indicating the fish was not fresh at all when we were assured it was. My lamb was quite tough and buried in a dark brown gravy that was not appetizing at all. Nothing on the menu description indicated that... More
