The dodging duck has nice patio, inside bar area, and nice eating area inside an old house. Try their flight of beers and you'll want to take home a growler. I highly recommend the jalepeno beer. They also have good appetizers. Dog friendly patio.

I've found this place to be over priced for what you get. Setting is fine in a trendy way. Food is good but wouldn't say is was fantastic. This is an average restaurant. There are much better in Boerne but most are pricy. It's Boerne.

They are located across the street from the river and have a great deck and yard to eat and play in. The food takes a little while and most of the menu consists of foods you'd eat with beer, but it's good. The beers are why you go there. They never make the same thing twice and I rarely get... Made from an old house, it has a large deck across the street from the river where you can watch the antics of the ducks (and there are a lot of them, all kinds). And interesting menu, great appetizers, Happy Hour, and micro brews that vary from season to season. Some are a little strange but their IPA is excellent... More

The family relaxed on the patio during Dickens on Main. We had fried green tomatoes & house Cabernet, both were GREAT!! Kids enjoined the "yard" out front, family friendly:)

We had the vegetable platter & the tenderloin medallions. Both were tasty. The veggies were cooked well ( not too crunchy and not cooked to death). We both had the "Tapa" portion which is a full plate! The dish is well seasoned and not "hot spicy". The pecan pie is made as an individual serving in a glass custard bowl.... More

Boerne gets lots of tourist business, especially from nearby San Antonio and surrounding Hill Country towns, such as Kerrville and Comfort. While the Dodging Duck's craft brews are notable, it's the eclectic menu with well-prepared dishes that keep my wife and I coming back. Two days after Thanksgiving, the place was hopping for lunch, but we got a table for... More

It was a nice atmosphere and the beer choices were excellent. I love going to local breweries. You should try it.

Ill briefly state that the food is good and reasonably priced (not sure at all what the price complaints from other reviews are about) but for me the kicker was a wot hop IPA. Not sure how big these are in Texas given it isnt a hop growing region and the craft beer scene is still up and coming but... More

Best part of this place is the outside patio and view. Selection of beers is also worthy of a good comment. Food is ok, been to this establishment many times, always left a little disappointed with the service. Will continue to frequent this place, but could use a little polishing in the Customer Service area.
