Went for lunch to try new place in Boerne. Glad we did. Older building with decorative plates inside from owners trips and donated plates. Had patty melt, and husband had special which was a dish with lamb. All was great. Services was great. Will go back. Would like to try dinner. Some what pricey.

We had a party of six for our meal. The wait staff was attentive to every need. For a Friday night, the restaurant was packed with at least four large groups and several families. This was my second time eating there. I ordered the salmon. Mmm--mmmmmm good! My water glass was topped off without me having to ask for more.... More

As some have commented, plates everywhere from all over the world. Very quaint and seems to be popular with the locals. We stopped in for coffee and dessert and cannot say we were impressed, hard to say whether food is better. However, our server was very nice.

Odd looking interior with thousands of plates mounted all over the place. Good food but priced over the true value of the meal. The food was good and large portions but still 3-4 bucks higher than other places we have tried. Went there with my daughter and grand kiddo for lunch on Sunday. I had my normal chicken fried ribeye... More

We stopped at Po Po's just for dessert because a friend said I just had to see all the plates. How fun. We were greetly warmly and when we said we just wanted dessert we were cheerfully taken to a table in the bar area. The cobbler was excellent and I will look forward to returning for a meal the... This restaurant has been here some time and actually is in Welfare, Tx not Boerne. The chicken fried steak, salmon, meatloaf are excellent and the sides are good also. Fries, steak fries and numerous fresh vegetables. Good wine selection and the service is quick and friendly. A large collection of plates from everywhere is present on the walls. Prices are... More

I've been dining at Po Po for about 50 years, and, while the food is excellently prepared, it has become rather pricy in the evenings. If one is looking for very good cuisine in an out of the way, down-home setting, then this is the place. It has not expanded its dining area in the entire time I have been... More

This food is unbelievably delicious. We have eaten here 4 times. Excellent service. Meat Loaf, Salmon, Tilapia, Fried Chicken, Roast Turkey and all the fixins (on Sundays). ALL GOOD! Historic building with antique plates on the walls! Lovely!

We are here a few days ago, the guys ordered the mixed grill each and the girls ordered chicken fried chicken each. They liked their chicken, and the mixed grill was worth it. I had the shrimp grilled and they were perfect. The steak was alright, it was cooked properly just didn't taste like good quality of meat. I had... More

Just visited one of my favorite places in the Hill Country. Sat by a sunny window, and had the lunch sized Chicken Fried Steak. Yummy and hot, with excellent service. Have been visiting here for years, and is always good. Worth the drive. Had great service, and a really nice lunch.
