The atmosphere is very happy and hard working. The food is out standing and prepared and looks amazing. The hostess are very pretty and happy workers and are very helpful to the customers. All around is a spectacular atmosphere.

The food and service is great and the atmosphere is elegant. It feels like you are in Germany. The wait staff is very friendly and the hostess was very nice. If you are looking for a great German restaurant in Boerne I advise you to go here.

Very nice restaurant and nice outdoor area on the Cibolo creek in Boerne, Texas. Greta environment, attention to details, and outdoor seating.

We read some good reviews on TripAdvisor and decided to take a Sunday drive and stop at Little Gretel Restaurant for brunch. We were seated very quickly but it became apparent early on that there were not enough staff on hand. Our server apologized on several occasions saying they were "slammed" that morning. The most annoying aspect of our visit... More

I went there for lunch during my lunch break with one other person and sat down at our table outside at 12:05. Our server didn't come to our table until 12:11 and didn't come back to take our order until 12:19 after we asked the hostess, who was also working as a busser, to please have our server come by... I had heard wonderful things about this restaurant and finally went for lunch today. I love sauerbraten which I have had many times while traveling in Germany. Little Gretel serves the Czech version of this dish which also is great! I'm not sure I could say which I like better at this point. Not only was the food wonderful, but... More

Best place in the area for Sunday Brunch. Great gathering place. Many say the best eggs Benedict they have had. Love the waffles too! Can also eat off the lunch menu!

We just had a quick coffee here but it was very nice. Friendly staff and it was relaxing sitting outside after a walk along the river. Loved the rest rooms, worth a look! Also the shop next door has to be visited.

After several of the reviews here, we almost didn't stop by. As a matter of fact, we skipped it for dinner the night before because of all the negative feedback, but happened to pass by, hungry, at lunchtime on our way to 1 of the caverns. Mom was craving a Reuben sandwich, so we decided to give it a go... More

I learned of Little Gretel on a recent flight home where I met the Chef. I love German food and had high expectations which were definitely met. The beer selection was modest, but had excellent choices in draft. I ordered the duck which was very tasty (and a treat on a Texas menu) and the sides were perfect - the... More
