I had heard wonderful things about this restaurant and finally went for lunch today. I love sauerbraten which I have had many times while traveling in Germany. Little Gretel serves the Czech version of this dish which also is great! I'm not sure I could say which I like better at this point. Not only was the food wonderful, but... More

Best place in the area for Sunday Brunch. Great gathering place. Many say the best eggs Benedict they have had. Love the waffles too! Can also eat off the lunch menu!

We just had a quick coffee here but it was very nice. Friendly staff and it was relaxing sitting outside after a walk along the river. Loved the rest rooms, worth a look! Also the shop next door has to be visited.

After several of the reviews here, we almost didn't stop by. As a matter of fact, we skipped it for dinner the night before because of all the negative feedback, but happened to pass by, hungry, at lunchtime on our way to 1 of the caverns. Mom was craving a Reuben sandwich, so we decided to give it a go... More

I learned of Little Gretel on a recent flight home where I met the Chef. I love German food and had high expectations which were definitely met. The beer selection was modest, but had excellent choices in draft. I ordered the duck which was very tasty (and a treat on a Texas menu) and the sides were perfect - the... More

The chef at Little Gretel is listed among the "Greatest Chefs in America" by fellow chefs. Perhaps she is wonderful, but our meal was mediocre and the service was terrible. The sweet waitress was the ONLY server working at 7pm on a Wednesday evening. We never got our water glasses refilled and my mom had to reorder twice, because they... More

I have eaten here a few times and overall it has been a good experience. Recently stopped for lunch and since the weather was nice, picked out a table on the patio under an umbrella. There is a little noise from the traffic but not so much that you can't carry on a conversation. I ordered the Roast Pork Lunch... More

I had lunch and not many other customers were there at about Noonon Friday. I ordered the Monte Chisto sandwich. The menu called for cheese. There was none on my sandwich. I pointed it out to the waitress and she apologized. She said she would talk to the manager. Then she came back and said the chef was going to... More

We had breakfast at Little Gretel while vacationing in Texas. Service was slow the food was good but not worth the wait or the price we paid. 37.00 for yogurt parfait, egg omelet and pastry

I had breakfast at Little Gretel once when they were hosting a group of Czechoslavakian chefs - I was so blown away by the flavor and quality of the food that I could hardly wait to go back. Went last week and I was so disappointed!!! Our waiter was awesome but the food was horrible: I ordered the half Reuben... More
