Drove around the hill country including this small town and stopped at the Redbud, which is surprisingly large with a neat on the wall menu. We chose the pastrami with sauerkraut and loved it. The homemade lemonade was great. They also have local brewed beer whose brand I had tasted elsewhere!

This place was recommended by everyone we encountered in Blanco. It was packed on a Friday evening around 7. Consequently it took quite a while for our food to arrive. In that time the counter ladies checked on us twice, ladies eating next to us chatted with us and the local vet came to borrow a chair but stopped to... More

In an small town in unfamiliar territory, a vegetarian, especially a "plant-based diet" individual has obvious concerns for finding healthy, fresh, and delicious food. Well, not in Blanco, Texas. On an antiquing trip, we discovered this wonderful place. Portabella Mushrooms, Veggie Burgers, fresh greens, additional veggie choices, and not to mention the "green chilies." I was in heaven and so... More

What a wonderful surprise while visiting friends. Old TX charm and crazy good food. Wish it was in my area because I'd go back many times. And, don't miss the little shop it connects to.

Redbud is our go to place when traveling around in the Hill Country. Food is fresh and the lunch is always good. The staff is pleasant and attentive. We always split lunch to make room for the homemade cookies and desserts! Don't miss out!

This food is unique, delicious, freshly prepared, the staff is friendly and they have Gluten free which made me very happy. I noticed they had Axis deer on their menu, I will have to try that sometime. They have Hibiscus tea, chicken, egg and tuna salad which is very good but I don't think anyone make a Reuben sandwich like... More

Redbud is our local go-to lunch place, 12 miles from our house. The soups are excellent, sandwiches tasty, and staff attentive and professional. There is good menu variety for a restaurant this size. The tilapia poor-boy is one of our favorites. Our lunch, with two cups of soup, a shared sandwich, and two iced teas is about $22.

We hosted lunch at this restaurant for a group of about 30 people for a wedding weekend. This lunch was the kick off for the weekend, and it set a fun atmosphere for the rest of the weekend. The owner Jan met us at the door, and her competent staff catered to our every request. We had reserved our tables... More

Redbud Cafe & bakery sits in a groovy historic building on the square in Blanco, Tx. Menu is mostly soups, salads & sandwiches. I ordered the Blanco burger consisting of Angus beef, bacon & cheese w/ a chipotle mayo which was great. Cole slaw also had the chipotle mayo which gave it a nice kick. They have local bands on... We stopped in on August 20th for lunch and loved everything about Redbud Cafe. Son #2 ordered the half pb&j and fruit, son #1 and I split the cheeseburger and fruit and my husband ordered the meatloaf sandwich and potato salad. The half sandwich was huge and delicious; the fruit was fresh (cantaloupe, strawberries and pineapple); the burger was juicy,... More
