We had a large group of 12 or so people enjoy dinner at Uptown on a recent wedding weekend. Our server was extremely professional and attentive and got all of our orders right. I ordered the wild mushroom ravioli and tasted the chicken marsala, and they were both delicious. We enjoyed the brews from Real Ale Brewing Co. which is... More

We have not tried The Chess Club (#1 ranked in Blanco) but have eaten at both the Redbud and Uptown. I cannot decide which is better. I recently had the shaved prime rib sandwich at Uptown and it was tremendously good. Artisan marbled rye bread. A very large sandwich. Uptown may be a little more upscale in that you are... More

Have been here numerous times and it used to be really good but then went VERY downhill. Went back for lunch today to see if service has improved. And YES, glad to report it has! Lunch today was very nice. Went for birthday celebration. Server was really good, although missing for a while. When she returned she checked back in... More

I've eaten here several times both for lunch and dinner and must say, up until yesterday, I was not disappointed. I had the spinach salad which said it included hard boiled eggs and peppered bacon. Was expecting a lot more for the $10 charge. The hard boiled egg was chopped up and there may have been a quarter of the... More

The Uptown Blanco Restaurant has become one of our favorites for taking family and friends out to dinner. Both the food and wine selection were excellent. Service was outstanding and added to a night when live entertainment (New Orleans Jazz) was playing made this a wonderful evening to remember. PS: Bread pudding was suburb,

When we visited the restaurant we found out it has been around for years. We live at Canyon Lake and go through Blanco often-- and we didn't even know it was there. We are thrilled to have found it and plan to visit often. Upon entering we met a lovely hostess who lead us into the quaint dining area. Crisp... More

This is a beautiful restaurant. We went when it first opened, but was rather expensive for just a quick meal locally. However, for lunch they have added a "petite" portion, which is a more reasonable size portion and a fair price. Food is good, but front of house staff should remember they have a job because of customers. Not that... More

Expensive dishes, overpriced wines, and BAD service...consistently bad service. Took a group of 7 of us on a Sun evening. We were one of 2 tables in the place and couldn't get service! When we wanted to order dessert the waitress (who should have never been given the job since she was never trained to wait tables) was disgusted that... More

We stopped at the Uptown on a Sunday two weeks ago for lunch and we lost the lottery when it came to our waitress. We were seated at a table around a corner, by a window, and Echoe came by a few minutes later to take our orders. We did not order anything that was difficult, ordering straight from the... More
