Great place for breakfast burritos!

Got lucky. Stopped for a late breakfast, found a treasure I wish was near my home. I've had some REALLY good TexMex BB's at home from a transplanted NM family, who moved to the DC Metro area, but these were even better. Would have no problem stopping here again. Would actually hope to break... read more

I came to this place to get BBQ. This is a rustic cafeteria style restaurant. In Texas, my meat of choice is always brisket. I requested to have it lean, so a slab of fat was cut off the top. If I had been blindfolded when I tasted this meat, I would have guessed it was great pot roast--moist, tender,... More

I ordered the brisket sandwich, the girl making it asked if I would like a little fat with it and I said yes. What a mistake, she gave me 90% fat. I could not eat it. The little bit of meat that was on it was not even that good. The BBQ sauce was good. Overall it was a waste... More

My family stopped here on our way home from a long weekend in Austin. After a little confusion on where to go to order (the meat/carving is in a different room than the sides and register) we sat down and WOW! Awesome bar-b-q...even our kids loved it! We had brisket, chopped beef? chicken, sausage and a stuffed baked potato. The... More

Barbecue is served by the pound or the plate. Quail wrapped jalapeño pepper is our favorite. Huge backyard and indoor seating area for after you get your plate of meats. We like having a little quail, chicken, pig, and cow with a cold longneck.

I had the pleasure of having bar-b-que at Schoepf's Old Time Bar-B-Que in Belton, Texas (702 Central Ave, Belton, TX, Exit 294B off of I-35). Texas bar-b-que is a wonderful experience and Schoepf's does a great job of it. The brisket was moist and tender with a flavor of the heat over which it was cooked. Besides brisket one can... More

It's been a while since I've been in this part of the country and when I had to spend the weekend in Dallas, I took the opportunity to drive down to Belton and get some barbecue! This place has consistently great barbecue and a selection that should make anyone happy. Add the excellent home-style sides and this is my favorite... More

This place is popular for visitors to the Belton area. Staff is fantastic and service is good. Food is average and pricey. Homemade sausages, brisket, turkey, chicken with all the fixin's is offered as well as beer. I personally find the meats on the dry side. Although it is not my favorite BBQ it is certainly worth checking out.

I was impressed by the big pit and it's delicious selections. The moist brisket was great. Pork ribs were on point. And the bacon wrapped jalapeno stuffed quail was very good. Also the sides were great overall enjoyed this experience.

Fabulous food, friendly staff, my favorite place to eat! I go here at least twice a week and I've never had a bad meal. If you want great Texas BBQ, then this is where you need to go!
