I don't usually like BBQ but I actually like Schoepf's. We go there once a month or so and have never been disappointed with our meals. My husband and I usually order combo meals and there is a lot of food in those meals. The brisket is delicious and so are the ribs. I also like the potato salad and... More

Had lunch here and it was great. We were given a recommendation by local people as we were here on business. I can't wait to get back and eat there again. Great staff as well.

Over priced. Food not very good. Its not what it uses to be. Last visit had the half of chicken it tasted like lighter fluid. Couldn't eat it.

I travel to Belton for three days every year and had never been to Schoepf's until now. What a nice find! You know you are in a meat place when you start out in the smokehouse then move into another building for the add-ons. I was amazed at the wide range of mouth watering smoked meat selections, including three types... More

First let me preface this with saying that my family has been in the central Texas region since Sam Houston was President. With that, and the fact I travel specifically to visit BBQ joints around the country, AND have owned/operated a BBQ business for many years...I consider myself a fairly "seasoned"(with dry rub...sorry!)BBQ critic. I was visiting my parents(about 25... More

Through the years, I have eaten here many times with family and friends. I don't eat there as much since Miller's opened several years ago. I have eat many things on the menu. Brisket has proven to be mediocre as have the ribs. Pork chops and smoked sirloin have moved up as my preferred menu items. They have several varieties... More

Small joint that has really grown up. Ate here a few years back and was impressed. Tried it a couple weeks ago and even MORE impressed. The turkey was juicy, the jalapeño sausage...just the right kick, and the quail, wow! Best of all was the half chicken...so moist. Great sides and sauce, too. Will return, no doubt!

Eh. That's about it. I have to write one hundred characters, and I don't think the food is worthy of that. I'm sorry about that, too, since I love pretty much everything else about Belton!

Schoepf's was the go-to place for barbecue in Belton when we moved here in the 90s. It was a little "hole in the wall" that had great food at a fair price. I loved their pork chops and my wife really liked the sliced brisket. A few years ago, they remodeled and enlarged the restaurant and it changed for the... More

This restaurant started out as a simple BBQ place and has blossomed into a BBQ place with outdoor seating, music on weekends and still great BBQ. The service is streamlined and a real benefit to Belton.
