Always good BBQ at reasonable prices. Relaxed atmosphere with decent, though not the largest, portions. Brisket preferred over their sausage.

We were in town for a convention and wanted a BBQ restaurant where we could sit down. A beekeeper at our convention recommended this place as he used to live in Belton. Well, my large plate of Quail (3 pieces) was wonderful as was the potato salad. My husband got the ribs and he polished them off along with the... More

My wife and I were returning from a trip to Belton Lake and stopped at Schoepf's in Belton for a late lunch (2PM). We had both had Schoepf's BBQ a few years ago at a catered birthday celebration and were tremendously impressed at the overall flavor and quality of the brisket, turkey and sausage. While the staff in the restaurant... More

This is a pit barbecue where you get your meat right off the smoker, then go inside and get your sides. The brisket is fork tender and the sausage is what your tastebuds are screaming for. Order a porkchop and be surprised at the size of it! They do a great take-out business. Service was a bit slow but the... More

Is this place under new ownership or something? We used to enjoy eating here; the BBQ was good and so were the sides and sauce. Today, the brisket had no smoke ring or smoke taste at all. It tasted and had a mushy texture like pot roast cooked in a crockpot. My wife had a pork chop that was dry,... More

The brisket was more like roast without any smoke ring or seasoning. The quail was good but dry. The best thing I had was the blackberry cobbler. The establishment was nice. This was my first time here and I will try it again in the event it was an off day on brisket.

This is a BBQ place right off the highway, and the place has some incredible food. In typical BBQ fashion, the meat is cut right in front of you and then served on a tray, after which you basically pick your dressing and side items. Like most BBQ places, it is not exactly cheap, but the quality of the food... More

The jalapeño cornbread is terrific. The brisket is very good early. Sometimes too dry later in the day. Same for the ribs. I like the cole slaw. Potato salad well above average. Beans very good. The food is very similar to Coopers. I am under the impression the owners may have learned the trade working at Coopers. Family pack is... More

Nice location, pleasant inside. Food is what you would expect bbq in Texas to taste like. All of it was good. You move through a line to select your food items and then take it to your table.
