This was our 2nd time (and on Labor Day). A little wait to get our meat because someone didn't show up for work. I ordered pulled pork sandwich (out) and settled on chopped BBQ which was very good. My husband ordered chopped chicken sandwich (also out!) and took a 2 meat sandwich of brisket & sausage which he devoured. The... More

Taken here by a friend while visiting the area. Homey, rustic atmosphere. Good BBQ, chicken, and sides. A real local favorite, outside seating available when bands play on the weekends.

Before leaving Texas, we just had to try some local barbecue. Schoepf's was recommended the most by the locals. You first enter a hot room where a friendly server will slice whatever you want. He is also cooking the meats. You then enter another room (cafeteria style) and pick your sides. OMG! It was delicious beyond what we have experienced... More

Good brisket right off the pit. Prices very reasonable. Standard side dishes offered - skip the tasteless Cole slaw, though. Worth a return visit.

Ok, so if you like that wonderful smoked and juicy, tender and succulent brisket, then you have already arrived! The brisket is just the best, and living in Texas, I have had some really good barbecue. I also tried all of the sausages, and they were excellent as well. They have a jalapeno cheese, original, and venison sausage. The venison... More

We met some friends for lunch on Sunday after a church function. This was my first time here. The place has some character. The brisket was so tender you couldn't lift an entire piece with a fork! It was very tasty! We also tried the turkey which was moist and delicious. I'll definitely be back!

I don't usually like BBQ but I actually like Schoepf's. We go there once a month or so and have never been disappointed with our meals. My husband and I usually order combo meals and there is a lot of food in those meals. The brisket is delicious and so are the ribs. I also like the potato salad and... More

Had lunch here and it was great. We were given a recommendation by local people as we were here on business. I can't wait to get back and eat there again. Great staff as well.

Over priced. Food not very good. Its not what it uses to be. Last visit had the half of chicken it tasted like lighter fluid. Couldn't eat it.

I travel to Belton for three days every year and had never been to Schoepf's until now. What a nice find! You know you are in a meat place when you start out in the smokehouse then move into another building for the add-ons. I was amazed at the wide range of mouth watering smoked meat selections, including three types... More
