Great Food, VERY Slow Service

I have to say the food definitely lived up to its reputation. The coffee was better than the average cuppa jo. The beer-battered onion rings were some of the best I've tasted. The steak on my Avocado Steak Salad was done to perfection, just like I ordered. The Bacon Balsamic dressing was... read more

Good food, happy hour drinks! Friendly staff, lots of parking, right on the river with a band in the gazebo! Eat on the back porch if it's cool enough! A fun place!

What a fantastic way to spend an evening. Great food, great service, and not to mention awesome music. The Gin is an incredible place to visit and I highly recommend it to anyone that manages to find themselves nearby.

Find this place just driving through Belton, looked interesting so we stopped. Glad we did. We were greeted very warmly and offered seats either inside or on the patio. It was a nice day, so we chose the patio. The view from there was wonderful. Our server was very nice and made some good recommendations. I had the chicken fried... More

This was a lunch stop for our group of 30 folks. Food was fresh and tasted great. Staff did an excellent of accommodating us in a timely manner. After lunch, it was nice to walk along Nolan Creek. Will go back when it is just the two of us.

This is the best food in the area. The Gin has the good view of the creek that runs along the back. Margarita's are the best. Service from little lady which I could not remember her name did a outstanding job. The GM actually stopped by to make sure that the food was great. You don't see that a lot... More

I absolutely LOVE this place. The steak practically mealts in your mouth. And the drinks?? So good. The service is always good, and the food is beyond delicious.

One of my co-workers suggested The Gin and at first I was a bit skeptical because the prices seemed a bit high; however, most restaurants in Belton/temple area are the commercial steak houses or Mexican food places, so I decided to give it a try. Needless to say we were more than impressed! No April fools about this one!! The... More

No need to drive to Temple or Killeen to a "chain steakhouse." The Gin at Nolan Creek in Belton has them beat!!! They have GREAT steaks, seafood, salads, burgers, as well as specials every day! They cook all of their meat over real mesquite wood, you can see it stacked beside their building. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is... More
