Family had such a wonderful time. The food is fantastic and prices were great for the hearty portions. Service by Melissa was so incredible.. This place just knows how to do it. We will definitely be back...

I highly recommend The Gin at Nolan Creek in Belton, TX. It's in a former cotton gin that was built in 1927 so you can truly feel the history! It's in a great location overlooking Nolan Creek. The servers were very friendly and attentive, and the food was incredible! Everything was fresh which is a rarity anymore. I had the... More

The atmosphere is wonderful and the surrounding area is delightful and enjoying. The food used to be delicious (shrimp stuffed avocado-not on menu anymore) but this visit I was deeply disappointed. The shrimp was rubbery and I was not impressed with the service. It's obvious the management has changed....for the worse. Will only survive on its prior reputation for so... More

Decided to take a stroll downtown Belton on a Sunday afternoon with the wife. The place was pretty empty for maybe 3 tables. Sat next to the bar and ordered up some type of appetizer with onion rings, fried pickles, fried jalapenos and some stuffed bacon wrapped jalapenos. Food was more than we could eat for an appetizer. Onion rings... More

Expensive for what you get. Crab cakes were deep fried and not a great selection of beers or wines. Husband and son ordered steak. It was really tough and chewy for an expensive meal.

Mediocre American Food. Great patio though, decent drink specials. They could draw more after 5 work crowd with a decent happy hour menu.

On a positive note it's a cute setting. We had to send our drinks back along with several others around us as they were not good. Waitstaff was very crabby. Food was ok but there were up charges.

We stopped at the Gin for dinner on our way to an event. This was the first time we'd ever been there. The service is great, the atmosphere is unique and the food is tasty! My wife had the Baja Shrimp, one of their specialties. Unfortunately, it wasn't so special. I had the cubed steak. I've got to say WOW!... More

My women's meet-up group picked this place for happy hour a few nights ago. We thought it would be ideal to start meeting here since it is in the middle of Temple, Killeen and Salado. We got there around 6:00 for happy hour prices. We were told that the only drinks on happy hour were the draft beers. The appetizers... More

Ok, so we went because of the pics we saw of the house chips! Sooo good! Wonderful, relaxed atmosphere with great views. Great customer service. My husband had the hamburger & I the turkey club with avocado. Both were awesome! The menu has lots of different items, which we like, that you don't see in the usual restaurants. They have... More
