Great time on Nolan Creek

The Gin is just that: an old gin built in the late 1800's. The menu is southern and most meals I've ordered (including the Chicken Fried Steak) are well prepared. The Ribs are a good choice too. It's a great place to sit out on the patio and overlook Nolan Creek. It's not too loud and you can have... read more

My family and I stopped in after a day in the park and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and service. It is a little on the expensive side but we found it to be a good value for what we received.

We had the daily special chicken dish yesterday and it was so good! Chicken stuffed with peppers and onions, wrapped in bacon. The rice served along side was very well seasoned. We love going to the Gin for date night, but they are also kid friendly. You can't beat sitting next to the river having a lovely meal. I read... More

I am deeply saddened to hear that you had a poor experience with breastfeeding. We openly welcome breastfeeding, and I apologize for you having to endure that. Please know that we do not tolerate our staff treating guests in our establishment poorly, and will do everything in our power to resolve the problem. More

We love the food, but find it to be a little pricey for the portion size. Most place that serve meals for $15-20 serve larger portions, which can be easily shared, but that has not been our experience after eating here multiple times. The food is good, service ok.

We ate outside overlooking Nolan Creek. Great spot to eat. We had fried chicken and steak and avocado salad. Both meals were very good.

This was my second visit, first time was for lunch - this time for early dinner. The atmosphere was amazing. Love the old cotton gin building turned into restaurant, very well done. Food - ribeye was tasty but not worth $27. Gin fried chicken and gravy were excellent. Garlic mashed potatoes - you HAVE to get those! SKIP the salad... More

I was able to eat at the Gin twice and had different experiences with the food. During the first visit, I ordered the grilled airline chicken with rice. I loved the chicken! it was so moist and had creamy spinach filling. My boyfriend had the salmon salad with blue cheese dressing and he loved it too. The second visit, I... More
