Expensive for what you get. Crab cakes were deep fried and not a great selection of beers or wines. Husband and son ordered steak. It was really tough and chewy for an expensive meal.

Mediocre American Food. Great patio though, decent drink specials. They could draw more after 5 work crowd with a decent happy hour menu.

On a positive note it's a cute setting. We had to send our drinks back along with several others around us as they were not good. Waitstaff was very crabby. Food was ok but there were up charges.

We stopped at the Gin for dinner on our way to an event. This was the first time we'd ever been there. The service is great, the atmosphere is unique and the food is tasty! My wife had the Baja Shrimp, one of their specialties. Unfortunately, it wasn't so special. I had the cubed steak. I've got to say WOW!... More

My women's meet-up group picked this place for happy hour a few nights ago. We thought it would be ideal to start meeting here since it is in the middle of Temple, Killeen and Salado. We got there around 6:00 for happy hour prices. We were told that the only drinks on happy hour were the draft beers. The appetizers... More

Ok, so we went because of the pics we saw of the house chips! Sooo good! Wonderful, relaxed atmosphere with great views. Great customer service. My husband had the hamburger & I the turkey club with avocado. Both were awesome! The menu has lots of different items, which we like, that you don't see in the usual restaurants. They have... More

We went early for dinner and they had no trouble finding us a nice seat. The food was good and the prices reasonable. There's a cute little creek to the back of the property and you can feed the ducks/geese if you wish. We sat and chatted a long time and the server never rushed us. We compensated him well... More

This place is in a very nicely repurposed gin. Our food was great. I had the salmon salad with a very tasty bacon vinaigrette dressing. One had the avocado steak salad and the others had the catfish dinner. The only complaint was that the hush puppies were dry. So they fed them to the ducks. We will go again next... More

Interesting industrial decor and setting on Belton Creek. Great view with outside dining. Staff was very friendly, prompt, and helpful on suggestions. And the food was YUMMY! Looking forward to another trip there.
