Nice spot in small town

Fat Grass is a nice add to a very small town. We had nice steaks, Caesar and an above average bottle of wine. Bread was home made I think. Very genial service in a cool, old fashioned spot. This was a perfect stop en route to a fishing trip. I would go there again.

I THINK this place is trying to project the air of a nice gastropub, but it felt kind of strange. The items on the menu sounded good, there were both cheaper as well as more involved, expensive dishes available. I had the stuffed, wrapped jalapeños for an appetizer, then a water buffalo burger, just because I was curious. I didn't... More

The Sunday Brunch: for some reason, I was under the impression that this was a buffet brunch, but it is not - all items are off the menu. That said, they have all of the breakfast and brunch items from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday. The service: Fat Grass was not at all crowded when we went. The... More

Went on a Monday night, not crowded, long antiquey looking bar, low lights, nice place to go. The food was just so so . Had the Mahi in a cream sauce. Yawn. Wife had fish too with it tomato bisque soup but it was too salty for her , to their credit they took it off the tab, friend had... More

Good food, a little pricey. Had the open faced roast beef sandwich, beef was super tender and the bread it was on was tasty. Staff is friendly and service is pretty quick, would definitely recommend.

Excellent martinis, great jalapeno appetizers. Great service, clean and upscale. Nice place to sit and relax. Could use larger screen tvs and a couple more.

Perfect chill spot to hang out with friends. Food is great! I recommend the Mahi Thermidor. Good local music and Avery cool mellow atmosphere.

I remember when the building collapsed where the outdoor patio now is. What a great place to have dinner or a nibble with family and friends. I felt like I was back in Scottsdale. The service was good, the food impeccable. A must stop for anyone passing through or stopping for a visit.

I was ready to love Fat Grass. I had wanted to go there for several years and looked forward to it on this trip to Bay City. The restaurant and particularly the chef/owner have had great reviews. We decided to splurge and go there on New Year's Eve. We first placed our drink order and the waitress convinced my partner... More
