I had forgotten about eating here, so I had to go back and comment on it. This restaurant was my spot to eat breakfast, after staying in a nearby motel. I was pleasantly surprised and they did serve a tasty morning meal at a decent price. The waitress was accommodating and friendly, so I have no real complaints. The place... More

This place is older but staff is friendly and it has a lot of repeat customers.Has feel of truck stop to me so I was right at home. It's not a fancy place but it's comfortable and food was good. Coffee is great.

When we visit family in Cedar Creek we seems to always migrate to Texas Grill in Bastrop. It has become a family tradition for breakfast. Generous portions and a wide selection. I am most likely the person who orders an omelette...today all three of us ordered a variety of omelets from vegetable to sausage to bacon. I ordered the side... More

We had a delicious breakfast on a Thursday about 11:00 AM. Our omelets were generous sized and made from fresh ingredients - the Texas Style was super! The service was a little slow but the severs very friendly and professional. However, the appearance of the restaurant is very shabby and run-down: torn upholstery, bare spots on counters, tables worn, windows... More

Great 'home cooking' at Texas Grill in Bastrop, TX. The Chicken Fried Steak was outstanding as well as the green beans. I could have had the green beans for dessert! Great friendly service.

Bastrop Texas is a wonderful town with a lot of nice shops and restaurants to visit. The Texas Grill is not one of them.

Ate here twice, Breakfast was ok , service friendly but poor. We went back the next day for a late dinner and it was absolutely terrible. The menu is very limited, I ordered the hot beef sandwich, The beef was so tough you could not cut it with a knife.

We stopped on the road to Austin and we should have kept going into the city. Not bad. Just not good. Chicken fried steak was probably frozen. Mashed potatoes were tasty. Breakfast might be good and they serve it all day.
