Our group was well over 20 people, who arrived and ordered at different times. Never mind our group required tickets be split and grouped but I never heard a word of complaint by staff, instead we were met with smiles, refills, and great service. The food was good but the service made it even better!

It's a step up from counter-order Tex Mex but nothing special. The interior is pretty tired and service was just above slow during an early dinner hour (when there were very few others to serve).

Frozen margarita was loaded with cheap tequila, but mixed with a Dos Equis, it was perfect! Mixed fajitas my husband had were piping hot and delicious! The homemade tortillas were an added bonus. My stuffed chicken avocado with mushroom soup was mind-blowing, really. I will be asking my favorite local Tex-Mex restaurant to attempt this for their menu. We were... More

We used to eat there regularly. So much so, that the staff knew us when we walked in. Knew what we wanted to order and knew where we wanted to sit. However, last November, we took a friend there. While eating, a roach crawled on the wall next to me. I caught it in my napkin and didn't say a... More

The tortillas here are hand made and really good. Their fajitas and charro beans are really tasty. The place could use some updating but the friendly staff make up for it.

Just a quick note to recommend anyone going to Guad's to try their baby back ribs. The bones pull right out and they serve the sauce on the side in case you want it. They taste great as they are served. All of their Mexican dishes are excellent too and for a fair price. Not a lot of bling, but... More

We stopped on our way through town, first visit. We are from the Houston area. Service was excellent, very attentive to needs and courteous. Stuffed beef avocado was the best I've ever had - thin crispy layer on outside and great flavor! It also came with a mushroom tortilla soup that was delicious as well. Overall a great meal for... I thought this was very good Tex-Mex. The service was outstanding with multiple people working as a team to take care of the customers. The food was standard fare, but very well executed. We were just passing through, but if I find myself passing through Bastrop again, Guadalajara is a great option rather than going with the cookie cutter fast... More

Great menu, good value. The best charro beans ever. Staff has been the same for years, which speaks highly of a restaurant. They remember you and serve great food with a smile.

Since I am from Houston, the TEX-MEX capital of the world, I was very disappointed in this restaurant. It tasted ok. I got Nancy's burrito and it was just ok but nothing special. The service was slow to respond to refills on drinks but they were friendly. Don't make a special trip to eat at this restaurant. Go on into... More
