Good food, large portions, and friendly service

We ate here for the first time last week and the food was great. I had a large plate of fajitas that also came with 3 ribs - large portion and very tasty!

Ordered a combination Mexican plate. Entire plate covered with a thick layer of sauteed onions. Everything tasted of onion and hard to get a bite without picking off a piece of onion--even beans and rice. Service also very slow.

So this is the first time ever that I walked out before eating. We arrived to no one at the front desk... After a few minutes we sat down. First a bus boy asked if we seated ourself... Made a face and said" um, ok... I guess I'll let someone know". Then ..... The "hostess" came to our table and... More

Nancy's Steakhouse now combines a Steakhouse and Mexican cuisine. My family has eaten here a number of times and we have enjoyed being there. My own inclination is that I preferred the restaurant when it did not have the Mexican food.

We were driving through Bastrop and seen the Los Cabos and Nancy's Steakhouse restraunt. We have eaten at the Columbus locations many many times since we live in the area. Service was terrible. Food was beyond BAD. Had to serve my family tea twice since the waitstaff was to busy talking to each other to bother with us. My oldest... More

Mostly Mexican food now under the name Los Cabos. Our friend's chalupas were ok; my poblano relenno was awful, smothered in some horrible cheap gummy cheese. Actually felt sick after eating it even with the cheese scraped off (actually LIFTED off in one congealed gooey slab). The beans were good as was the guacamole. The rating came up this time... More

This steak house is now a Mexican restaurant. I thought the food was a little overpriced but it was good food. I wouldn't say it was high end, but the atmosphere was nice. The wait staff was all very friendly. We had two or three different people checking on us and all of them were willing to top off our... More

The steak I was served was so heavy with msg it was a salty tasting mess. They should warn you that they use meat tenderizer. Some people can not take it . I am one. Wont be ordering steak agaon unless they refrain from using MSG Service was great they weree very attentive. Just be careful.

The owners here have changed the name to Los Cabos Mexican Grill while leaving Nancy's signs up. What's left is a very mediocre and pricey restaurant. Our server was a guy named Ivan, but he was a little rough around the edges. The salsa is bland and thin and comes in red and green. The Los Cabos Dinner Plate included... More
