I have eaten several meals in the OST and have been happy with all of them. When in Bandera, it is a must stop.

We found this place on TripAdvisor. We were looking for some lunch before going on to one of the dude ranches in Bandera. The restaurant is very easy to find in the center of town. It's a real "local" place, which is exactly what we were looking for. I had grilled shrimp (which is also available fried) with a biscuit... More

My husband loves OST in Bandera -- me, not so much. He loves to go there on Saturdays when they usually have a Mexican Food Buffet. It's a cute place and everyone should go at least once. But, the food is just so-so and it's pretty expensive for what you get.

Had a great meal here on the way to the Frio River. Service was a bit slow because I think there was a miscommunication over which server had our table. No big deal though…everyone was friendly, which is my biggest thing. We weren't in a hurry. My husband and I split the chicken fried steak and it was probably the... More

We stopped for breakfast here and were nicely surprised. The biscuits with the biscuit and gravy were huge and very good. Gravy was very good too. The waitress was the best we had in town the whole trip. She got a 50% tip. Go there.

My wife and I have eaten here several times. The food and service are good. We have had breakfast. I have had the Chicken Fry and my wife has had the hamburger. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere fits the town. It is a dependable place to eat, but it is not something to plan your trip to the... More

We ate here twice over the weekend, once for dinner and once for breakfast. For dinner, we had awesome huge burgers, fries and onion rings. They have a good kids menu at a good price. For breakfast, we had eggs, bacon and big as your head pancakes! Would highly recommend if you are looking for good home cooking at a... More

The place is easy to find on the main street, convenient hours and a fair variety on the menu. Very friendly staff and patrons!

The menu had a story that this place has been around since 1921. I ordered a club sandwich, my son a hamburger and the same for my husband. We were not disappointed in the food. I felt it was pretty good. It didn't blow my mind but I didn't make me leave disappointed either. We didn't have any room for... More

I loved the atmosphere of this little place. No wifi, but we were there to try the pancakes. My boys quickly bonded with the cowboy sitting at our table. The staff were helpful and you can tell a lot of love goes in to this place.
