The food here is Awesome!!!! Everything is Homemade! The staff is friendly. I would make the 2 hour trip back, just to eat at this place!!! The Motel right next dooor is alsso an AWESOME place to stay! (Same owners.) I've stayed and eaten at MANY places in New Mexico and Texas, This is the BEST place by FAR!!!!!! Highly... more

Delicious food in an inexpensive, funky restaurant. We spent the night at the adjoining La Osa Flojo hotel (same owners), which is charming and unique - a really great place to stay in a teeny town 4 miles off the interstate. Well worth the extra time to get there, and much nicer than the hotels in the towns right on... more

this was the only restaurant in balmorhea, but it was GOOD, cheap, and cute! yummy mexican food and spicy salsa! more

Great food and atmosphere. Food is a reasonable price. It's not a five star restaurant but it's definately one of the best places(and the only places) in balmorhea. La Cueva De Oso or The Bear Den has a cute small town mexican atmosphere although the place is a bit tattered. I would definately reccomend La Cueva de Oso to anyone... more
