Very children friendly family restaurant. Have only eaten breakfast here twice but enjoyed the buffet both times. Food is good and well prepared. Staff is very friendly.

Riverstone has always been our pick of breakfast eateries, whem we don't cook at the motel. We decided to try A. J.'s. Bad idea! There were two servers on duty (that we could see) and she had difficulty keeping up with three tables. One coffee refill in the entire time (about 45 - 60 minutes); three of us did the... More

Travel style: Completely Casual local family of three spending a day in Pigeon Forge left out early to enjoy a Morning Horseback Ride in The Smokies. Our intention was to find a local restaurant to grab some breakfast along the way on highway 321. This was the first place we spotted outside of Maryville. Parking: Plenty. Service: Not one sign... Terrible food.....We went for breakfast and it was bad. Avoid the buffet, the food is not kept at a safe serving temperature. Had a country ham biscuit and it was gray and taste like liver. The waitresses could care less if you liked it or not.We commented that it was cold and could we move to another table and the... More

We did not realize it was even a restaurant at first glance, just a quick stop grocery. Just glad to have a hot breakfast, passed up the breakfast buffet. Biscuit, eggs and sausage OK. Few breakfast choices in Townsend.

Terrible food (and all I had was a biscuit and grave) Really terrible. Watery gravy and had to take it up to the waitress to be rewarmed and came back exactly the same.

Standard breakfast buffet, we'll sort of. Eggs were actually pretty good for being scrambled. We got lucky and whoever cooked the bacon did an awesome job!!! The bacon was perfect and there was plenty. Service was lacking, my husband drinks coffee and had to ask every time for coffee refills. Had two servers and one left to go to the... More

Two couples of us (wives are sisters) were on our third annual stay in the Townsend area and although Riverstone is our pick of breakfast eateries, we decided to try A. J.'s. No, no --- do not do it! This restaurant is the poorest excuse for a restaurant in which we have ever eaten. There was only one server and... More

Stopped here for breakfast before a hike in the Smoky's. Had the buffet andcoffee. Pretty standard fare and standard food. Server was very nice and willing to chat. This was a good stop and we enjoyed it. Owner seemed a bit put off when I paid with a card but that is his thing to deal with. Not rude but... More

SO SORRY To Read ALL of The BAD REVIEWS Continuing For The Hearth & Kettle. We Too Had A Terrible Experience There For Breakfast One Morning & Will NEVER Go Back Again. Slow, Negative Waitress & Owner, Below-Average Food, & Their Website Menu Doesn't Represent What They Actually Have On Their Extremely-Limited Actual Restaurant Menu! We Discussed This With The...
