Looked inviting from the outside, but as soon as we walked in I had a bad feeling! Ordered steak & gravy, which was $10.99. When the food came my husband & I just looked at each other. Tasted like the country fried steak was straight out of a box to the microwave and the size of a sausage patty. The... More

We've eaten here in the past and it was great. This time it was a rip off. First of all the service was terrible, the waitress was stretched out and couldn't remember a thing. But more than her was the quantity of the food. My wife doesn't eat a whole bunch but she was still hungry after ordering the so-called... More

We went here for breakfast while on our holiday get away. My French toast was fine, but my fiancé 's food was cold and the sausage had to be cut with a knife. It was hard and over cooked. When we send the food back the cook got angry and yelled at the waitress to tell us to go to... More

We went there just to try it out since it had new owners. They seemed to be out of a lot of things that was on the menu. I ask for steak but was told the person that was to cut the steak did not show up that day. Ask for something else and was told they was out of... More

There's a sign in this restaurant that says "Good Food - Slow Service". Well they're half right. The service is slow, but the food could hardly be regarded as good. And perhaps the service should more accurately be described as verrry slow. A perfect date in the Bizzaro World would be taking in the movie "Dumb and Dumber To" and... More

We had stopped at this restaurant on a previous visit to the Smoky Mountains and ate a delicious country meal! The new owners have tried to turn this into a Cajun seafood restaurant. I ate an appetizer of potato soup. It was not at all a soup...more like potato salad. My husband had fried catfish which was delicious. I also... More

We had good burgers there twice. Homemade chips. People were very nice, friendly. Owners are from Louisiana I was told. Lots of LA type dishes on menu. Place needs a good cleaning, my only gripe.

The Back Porch was a great little stop on our way to Gatlinburg each year. Now it has become the Back Porch Seafood restaurant. I really miss old place. Restaurant and location beautiful - food fair at best. Lunch menu extremely limited. My fish was a small portion and tasted overly "fishy".

The only good thing about our visit was the waiter, Brandon. Excellent young fellow. The food is weak. The rice is pasty. Ingredients are used sparingly. Stuffing on my broiled catfish was all bread crumbs, two shrimp, crab was not noticeable. Gumbo was tasty, but again very few shrimp, not a whole lot of andouille. The rice was in good... More

My wife, son and I had lunch at the Back Porch a couple days ago; we live in East Tennessee and we're constantly searching for decent local eateries. Unfortunately, the Back Porch didn't make the grade needed for a return visit. We wanted to get a fair taste of their dishes so my son and I ordered a Jambalaya to... More
