Heading to Cades Cove we decided to grab lunch in Townsend right before entering the park. Arriving in town we found ZERO restaurants open at the time so we just kept driving luckily we stumbled across Ape Valley Kitchen right before turning around. There are several shops to stop when visiting the Apple Valley Kitchen. Food is good, fudge is fantastic next store. If you want different items local to the community this is a neat place to stop.

The cowboy nachos were very good as well as the BLT...We sat outside and enjoyed the scenery. There are nice shops to visit while there.

What a neat little gem in Townsend, TN on the way to the Great Smokey Mountains. Stopped in to see what the gift shop had to offer and spent an hour looking at all the goodies they had for sale. The candy shop inside the country store had tons of candy and treats from days gone by, all in big... More

My husband and I decided to take a different route home since we travel to Gatlinburg often, we have took almost every scenic route there and back. This time leaving the Smoky Mountains was no different, the traffic is heavy and any and everywhere to eat are over crowded and busy just as well. I told my husband we could... More

Excellent food and friendly service ! It was a delight. Plus we had a fried apple pie with cinnamon ice cream... More

Its ok for a look but we just ended up buying some drinks & moving on to the next thing. The store is nice but we did find anything that would bring us back next time.

Good place to pick up lunch during the week. Weekends are a bit crowded. Fried apple pies, of course.

You cannot leave here without taking fresh fried apple pies for the ride home! And don't forget the home made fudge!
