Fantastic dessert! Eat it first!!!

We stopped here for a bite to eat on the way to Knoxville. What a great place. A real destination actually. There are shops around the restaurant. They also have outside seating for warmer weather. The had a delicious pocket pie. Not sure if that's their name but it was absolutely fantastic... read more

My wife and I ate breakfast here Monday morning. We were expecting the same pancake and egg breakfast that is available everywhere in the Smokies. Boy were we surprised! They had shrimp and homemade grits as well as a homemade hash that was out of this world delicious. Apple Valley is THE place for breakfast when you stay in Townsend!!!

Stopped in for breakfast on our way to the park. We opted for the buffet, which was pretty much empty once we went to fill our plates. They did refill, but I didn't think the quality was all that good. One thing everyone said you had to try was the apple fry pies, so we did! We get better at... More

The breakfast buffet was something we tied last fall but discontinued and won't be doing again. We're sorry you were disappointed, but we've made great strides in improving the restaurant since the first of the year and hope you will give us another try. More

Thanks for stopping in for a bite. The "pocket pie" you refer to is more commonly called a Fried Apple Pie around here. We're glad you liked it so much. Come see us again! More

Great food and nice people. We ordered the BBQ sliders and a cheeseburger. All the baked goodies makes it hard to decide which one. We decided on fried pies which were great. I cannot remember the bacon they use garnish the deviled eggs but it was yummy.

We stopped by on our way out of Townsend headed home. We had an amazing hearty breakfast here. Suggestion: arrive as soon as they open which was 9 am. We were seated quickly and our order put in but many customers came in after that and they had a wait. Food was wonderful.

Great concept and awesome ambience, but they need better execution on some of their menu items (eggs). Other than that, nice little place to have breakfast! BTW my husband loved the biscuits!!!

Thank you Tina for such wonderful service and great food. I am from Greeneville TN and I was showing friends from Miami around the Smoky Mts when we poped in at closing time. They enjoyed the atmosphere at the Cafe and said this kindness is not always found in Miami. Thank you again Tina and Apple Valley Cafe. Great fried... More

Everyone was pretty hungry when we got there,. The food is cooked fresh, but it took a long time to come. People who run it are friendly. Food OK. Onion rings and french fries were very good.
