This is our 7th time staying in the Townsend area on vacation and each year we make sure to head to this simple little restaurant with the awesome food. This year we ate there twice in a week and brought my sister and brother in law along. Once again I had the perfectly seasoned fried chicken and a homemade vegetable... More

No kidding! I have eaten many steaks and seriously, no doubt about it, this is the best ribeye steak ever! I picked it up and gnawed on it...it's that good! Danielle is great too. Always talking us into desserts! Great personality and great server! Thanks!

It was the end of the season and items were limited! I will wait for spring and return! The food we were able to order was excellent. The grilled chicken sandwich I ate was on homemade bread and it was outstanding! If desserts are your thing this will be your place! The service was outstanding!

Always good food and a great staff. Hate to see them close for the season. Best wishes to the Shulers and all of the staff.

A chicken sandwich served on Texas Toast, fried okra, homemade chocolate spice cake - just plain old good food and service. Would happily go back again!

I had seen on an app that this was on of the best places to eat in Townsend. We stopped by and my husband got the special and I got a cheese burger. They were both good. Not the best of either I have ever had but not bad either. The pie was out of this world good!

For a fairly small cafe, the welcome was warm and friendly, the menu was simple, the food was served quickly and of good quality. We like wine with our meal, which the cafe does not provide, but they were quite willing to allow us to bring our own bottle, which helped keep the price down. We had been given a... More

The sandwiches are just average. We did not try one of the plate lunches as we were not that hungry. But the dessert choices are outstanding. I can't recall when I have seen so many varied choices, and all appear to be made in house. I can't get chess pie where I live, and I miss it. The crust was... More

WE stopped here by chance will riding our bicycles. One customer handed us a menu which gave us a 10% discount. My wife had a fish sandwich which had two large pieces of grouper and I had a steak sandwich which tasted great. The portions were plentiful and the food very tasty. We will return on our next visit to... More

Good food and service. The emphasis is obviously on the baking, with almost as many dessert choices as entrees. Trout was a whole butterflied fish (head 'n' all), lightly cornmeal dusted. Grouper was breaded, but not too much, and both fishes were well prepared, moist and flavorful. The chili was really good, with good chunks of meat and beans and... More
