On my way across the Cherohala Skyway I was getting hungry and right on the river this little deli with healthy food that tastes so great. But the real beauty of it was the view. It was just cool on October 2nd and I and another rider sat outside by the river and enjoyed talking about the ride and the... More

We have visited the beautiful area of East Tn and the Tellico River 0ver 20 times in the last 2 years. Each time we visit, we go to Tellico Kats Deli. The meat is piled high on their subs, everything is fresh and I highly recommend this Deli to anyone in the area. Lots of variety, wonderful service and an... More

Just took a trip to TN to ride the Cherohala Skyway. We stopped in at the little Harley dealership in Tellico Plains for tshirts and asked if they could recommend a nice place to eat before heading up the Skyway. Both the girls suggested Kat's just down the road toward the Skyway. My husband and I both ride and our... More

We planned our lunch stop at Kat's while riding the Cherohala Parkway because it seemed to be the only restaurant in Tellico Plains that was opened on Monday. We are so glad we did! The food was great, especially the homemade potato salad. The sandwiches were very good and the ice tea fresh- brewed. The view of the river from... More

We had the curry chicken salad sandwich on rye bread, it was delicious. Also came with broccoli salad and chips. Sat on the outside deck overlooking the stream and watched the Trout swimming. Excellent staff and very friendly. Would definitely go back again!

Food average and service could much friendlier. Best part about it is being able to sit outside along the river. Wish they would not use so much disposable stuff too, real cups, plates and utensils go a long ways towards a nice eating experience.

We have stopped at Kat's Deli for years when we travel on the Cherohala Skyway. It's a small shop but the sandwiches are homemade and delicious. The ladies that run it are super friendly and eager to talk about your travels or answer questions. Homemade deserts can be wrapped and taken with you for a great snack later in the... More

Love stopping by Tellico Kats! Great sandwiches, good desserts. Best seat is outside on the deck that sits out over the Tellico River. Beautiful! Worth a stop if you are traveling the Cherohala Skyway. If the back deck is full, try a picnic table outside beside the river weather permitting.

We planned a day trip over the Cherohala Skyway from NC, and found this lunch spot on Trip Advisor. It's the first stop on the TN side of the mountains, and we were glad we stopped! Delicious sandwiches and salad plates, super friendly service, and a nice side, dog friendly deck, overlooking the river. Picnic tables at the river's edge,... More
