This place was great! It was a quaint little cafe right in the heart of downtown Sweetwater, to the direct left of the memorial park. They had a huge selection of high-quality food. We checked out other diners' dishes as we walked to our table upon entry. At first, we thought it may be a little fancier than a simple... More

What a great location! Hunter's Bakery and Café is located in the historic district of old downtown Sweetwater TN. Next door are antique shops, art galleries, and more. Across the street is the town square. Freight trains rumble by for diversion. If you like small old downtowns, this is a good one. If only Hunter's lived up to the potential... More

Hunter's is close to being acceptable...it just needs some small details worked on and the place could be acceptable. The dirty carpet needs to go. Who decorated this place???? It smelled like an Avon truck ran over a Mary Kay's Cadillac...Phew!!! Talk about odor overload! They have the world's worst paper-towel dispenser in the bathroom. The food was marginal...with some... More

Walked in after just moving to the area , and definitely were treated like out of towners that didn't belong here! Went to the mansion around the corner and welcomed with great southern hospitality and wonderful food !! I'd tell everyone that asks to go there instead!

Traveling the I -75 between Chattanooga, Tennessee and Knoxville, Tennessee you just HAVE TO drive off at either Exit 60 or Exit 62 and drive into this cute little downtown area of SWEETWATER. It is so nice to see small off-the-highway towns and villages making serious efforts to survive these difficult economic times. Amid all the antique stores you will... More

Happened upon this nice place for lunch while visiting the downtown area of Sweetwater. Had a great lunch with friends and we able to visit for several hours. The staff welcomed our extended stay and made us feel welcome and not rushed in the slightest. Look forward to the next visit to Sweetwater and to Hunter's.

Sweetwater is an awesome place to shop and the scenery around there is so cool. So to find Hunters in the middle of town and NOT have to do fast food was amazing. The atmosphere is very nice and the food is awesome. I had the grilled chicken sandwich - you would think chicken is chicken - but OMG this... More

OK place to eat. Had a regular hamburger and that's what it was...regular. Wife had uninspired chicken salad croissant.

Well to get out of the heat and away from the antiquing, we ducked into Hunter's Bakery & Café for a break and what a pleasure it was!! We were not hungry enough for a meal so decided on some fresh homemade cookies (they were huge) and some fresh peach iced tea (YUM). Nice and peaceful and in a word... More
