What a great find!

I enjoyed a nice, leisurely lunch at Hunter's recently. It's a good thing I had plenty of time for lunch, as service, while attentive, is that sweet, southern slow service that this Yankee can't quite get used to. After finding out The Mansion was closed, we were told that we should try the Hunter. The Hunter is a converted bank that shares space with an antique store. I believe their specialty is for lunch offering sandwiches, salads, soups, etc. The soup and sandwich were good. The service was prompt and good (probably the owner). It served the purpose... More

Lunch was really tasty and service was good. Beautiful antique touches are simple and tasteful, The front of the restaurant is the bakery section open to all, not just restaurant patrons so you can stop in for some yummy pasties, cookies and more even if you are not stopping for a meal. A warning - once they have sold out... More

Great place for lunch with fabulous desserts. Right in downtown area within walking distance to antique shops.

Stopped here on the recommendation of a friend, on our way back from Birchwood, TN to Knoxville. First of all, food was GREAT. We had the Chicken and Portabella Mushroom Melt and the Shrimp Angel Hair Pasta. While we were waiting, we had an appetizer from the bakery - a lemon chess bar that was to die for. We were... More

I have eaten lunch at Hunter's many times. I like to come into Sweetwater and have lunch, but this is not my favorite stop any longer. I want to like this locally owned restaurant and the people who work here are kind. There is lovely art work on the walls for sale. It's a cute old fashioned cafe with good... More

Food has always been very good. The New York Strip had a good flavor. The Tomato Basil soup was good with added salt and pepper. Large homemade cookies for desert. A very attentive waiter as always.

Rarely open! Its a part time restaurant. When you're in business you should be open to serve the public! Sad this place has no concept of customer service. And there's no other restraunts on the downtown strip for weekend shoppers.

Great food, service and atmosphere. I love the fries and grilled chicken. The salmon is great too. They have a large desert selection and they are all to die for! The cow patty is my favorite.

Stopped in for an afternoon tea and a goodie. All but two of the made fresh daily bakery items were sold out. The staff indicated that is normal so get there early if you want one of their desserts. The loaf of banana bread was very good.
