Healthy food, excellent service-something different off the fast food highway.

3,745 miles over 10 days and this was the best eating experience I'd had. I'm a picky eater---fresh vegetarian is hard to find on road trips. On our way to the Cherokee Mountains found this sweet spot in what seemed to be an old bank. The selections were surprisingly original and very... read more

Wonderful café in downtown. Great food. The reuben sandwich was great. They have soups and salads too. Some baked items in the showcase as you enter.

I persuaded my husband to get off I-75 for lunch in Sweetwater on our way to Gatlinburg, TN. I like to get away from the chain restaurants and fast food places to discover small towns as we travel. As we drove down Main Street, Hunter's Bakery & Cafe stood out. The fall decorations around the entrance were lovely and the... More

My husband had the beef steak sandwich and I had the club sandwich. Both were very good. I would have liked to order soup but their stove was down. No soup a or pasta could be ordered but the grill was working. Service was great and all staff was friendly.

Got the soup and sandwich - reuben was so small it was a joke; just the size of an hors-d'oeuvre (roughly 2 inches by 2 inches) and the tomato soup was not much more than warm tomato juice. The presentation was also unappealing. Of the three of us that ate today, two were totally dissatisfied, although one got a spinach,... More

We came during the muscadine festival and the service was not up to par. Our food came out cold, orders were overlooked, tea refills slow (the glasses are tiny). They used to be better.

Food and service were top notch. I had the chicken salad croissant and my husband had the grilled chicken sandwich. Delicious to both. The service was exceptional.

My sister, 4 nieces and myself went to Hunter's for lunch as my sister had eaten there on many occasions. We were seated and then waited for someone to bring us silverware, napkins, etc and take our drink order. This is where things went downhill. My sister ordered the loaded baked potato and my niece ordered the grilled chicken. My... More

Always consistently good food. The fish tacos are very good. Tomato Bisque Soup is richer than three feet up a bulls butt, but worth every calorie.

I love Hunter's. They have great salads and sandwiches. The atmosphere is really nice and prices are not too bad.
