My wife and I traveled over two hours to eat at Omni Hut after learning about it in a book called "Tiki Road Trip". We were not disappointed. The atmosphere was absolutely authentic vintage Polynesian Pop (which should not be confused with authentic Polynesian culture. Tiki culture is a very fictionalized, escapist version of South Pacific Island culture. It's a... More

My husband, children and I are baffled at what the locals see in this place. It's old and dingy, which would be charming if the food was good. Sadly we were so disappointed. Everything tasted like it had been previously frozen, sauces were overly sweet/salty and tasted like they were reconstituted. Nothing we had tasted like it was freshly prepared.... More

I've lived in Smyrna for just over six years now and only heard good things about the Omni Hut so gave it a try, I really don't understand what anyone would see in this place, absolutely horrible, made us wait at the reception for about 15 minutes to find when we were shown into the seated area about six tables... We have been eating there for over 30 years the food is great and so is the service. They have the very best egg rolls you'll ever find along with teriyaki steak, sweet and sour pork and shrimp fried rice it's all good.

I'm a bit of a foodie......which means I like food and I like my food to be delicious. I will admit I am a little picky but i'll try anything once. I have lived in Smyrna 5 years and drove by this place nearly every day. I was so curious to see what was so awesome about this mysterious place... More

4 of us ate here tonight. We all ate 3 different meals. And the appetizers were amazing. We really liked the crab Rangoon's, ribs and egg rolls. The main course was not as good as we thought it should be. But that was probably what we ordered. We all loved the Hawaiian feel of the place.

Our family has been going here for many years. You walk into a Hawaiian paradise. Fish tanks with koi goldfish, fluorescent flowers, small waterfall, bamboo paper covers the walls. A throwback to 60's Hawaii. If you go on Friday or Saturday night be prepared to wait!!!! I called ahead @6:00 & got in @7:40. Don't despair the wait is soooooo... More

I selected to dine in the Omni Hut because based on reviews it seems to have great atmosphere and it does. It is certainly different from the standard restaurants. Many interesting menu items so I selected The Tahitian Feast, which is a complete meal with a sampler of most items so I got to try many dishes. The food was... More

This is the Best Restaurant in Smyrna! We love the food, the servers and Polly is the best hostess. I have been going since 1968 when all we had in Smyrna was the Woodshed, Dairy Dip and Dairy Pride. So, I am grateful that they have lasted through the years with everything as good as it ever was. We have... More
