Oh my goodness!!

We tried to go English Mountain Trout Farm & Grill a couple of years ago but it was closed. We really wanted to try again and this time, they were open. My husband and son fished for our trout. My son doesn't eat fish but there were plenty of other options for him. I don't fish but I love... read more

We found this place by accident while trying to see the Forbidden Caverns which were closed. They have trout fishing where you catch your own trout and then they can cook it for you or you can take it to go. They also have gem mining! So neat! We did both and had a great time! The owner was excellent... More

Our children really enjoyed this experience. Every person was very helpful, friendly and enjoyable! We caught fish quickly. They cleaned and bagged our fish to take home. You could also eat it there as well. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

The best fresh fish that I have ever eat at a restaurant. My husband was glad that I chose to come here. Friendly people. Good food. I had the blackened, which was actually baked. Wonderful. My husband got the fried. Said that the hushpuppies were very tender, even after they cooled they didn't get hard. Good southern cole slaw. At... More

We got lucky and were the first official visitors of the year. So thankful we didn't arrive a day earlier and miss this. Our boys had a great time catching our lunch, even if it was a little chilly outside. I have very picky eaters and they both tried (and loved) the trout and catfish. My husband says it was... More

My family and I came to celebrate my birthday. We arrived to find they were not officially open. They accommodated us any way. The owners were so nice and friendly. We enjoyed every minute. The trout was superb. Cooked perfectly. We are locals and are always looking for the better places to dine. This is one of our favorites. Can't... More

This off the beaten path grill was well worth the time and $ spent. They caught the fish, prepared it and sevrd it with a smile. Our dinner was soooo good we came back with more friends the next day! Who needs atmosphere with the food and service we received? Thanks Charlie and company.

My family and I absolutely had a great time. The kids caught their first trout and would have stayed and fished all day. We had three of them cooked up in all three styles they offered and each one was delicious!!! The best part about the experience was the friendliness of the staff and the owner. Some of the nicest... If you like trout, you have to stop here! Our 5 year old caught our dinner and the owners cooked it up perfectly!! They they weren't technically open but decide to let us enjoy the experience anyway, and it was the highlight of our trip. We live a couple hours away and plan to make a day trip back just... More
