Awesome Family Experience!!

We were traveling with ages 4 to 60 and wanted the children to actually catch a trout and then eat it. From the pictures you think small man made pond, but if you look at it as a dinner experience where you catch your own trout it was excellent and truly the best meal all week. Don't let the small fish pond next to the restaurant fool you- They are the real deal. Yes, this is a tiny restaurant, but it's worth the trip because the fish is really good. The owner told me that they are actually a full size fish farm that supplies fresh fish to many of the restaurants in the Sevier area.... More

When I first here on a Friday morning, I was surprised to see a group of strong believers meeting for prayer. The sense of the power of prayer around a trout farm brings hope to our world. The longing for our world to grasp this concept is something that we need to hold on to today. We need to all... More

Our kids were trying so hard to catch dinner in the river. So, we decided to try out English Mountain and so happy we did. The kids really enjoyed the experience of "catching dinner" . They caught 2 trout. We believe in stepping outside the "chain stores" and giving the independent owners and family store owners a chance. Glad we... More

We stopped here on our way out of the forbidden caverns and it was worth it. The staff was nice and friendly and the owner was very informative and nice. The kids enjoyed fishing for trout and the place was clean.

Do yourself a huge favor and have a meal here!!! There is something to say when it comes to having literally the freshest trout you will ever have. They will catch your fish to order or you may catch your own right out of the spring fed trout ponds located on site. The owner and staff make you feel as... More

We didn't try the trout, although the people that were fishing seemed to really enjoy it, we stopped for the gem mining. You have to remember it is a roadside attraction and won't be the most authentic experience, it is a good value for the gems you get and much more than you get at other gem mining places. They... Great people and a great value! My son loves "mining " for gems. The $30.00 bucket lasted over an hour and almost every scoop of sand had a treasure to be found. One scoop even included a huge 5 inch cut and polished blue agate! He thinks he is rich!!! We watched the next family fish in the Trout pools,... More

My girlfirend and I made it a part of our vacation to stop in and eat. We came all the way from West Virginia where there are a lot of famous trout recipies and we ourselves cook trout all the time. I was amazed by how polite and knowledgeable all of the staff was! They told us how they fillet... More
