Wrong Season for Fried Apple Pies

This is one of my mom's favorite places to visit, but she usually comes here in September when apples are fresh and the pies are much better. March is not apple season and the pies were a disappointment. They were good, but even she said they were not the mouth watering pies she is used to eating... read more

This was a delicious meal if you love home cooking!! It started with Apple Fritters, which are amazing! I ordered meatloaf and turnip greens, my husband ordered chicken-fried steak. Every meal comes with mashed potatoes. The servings are large, and the food was really good. We have no complaints, and will definitely put this place on our list of returns.

Of course the service was excellent and the food was wonderful! Can't go to the Great Smokey Mountains without visiting the Apple Barn. The fritters are sooo good!

We had eaten at the Apple Barn 20 years ago and my wife and I were really looking forward to dining there again. We arrived at 5:30, made reservations at the farmhouse restaurant for eight of us, then walked over to the various shops that are a part of the Apple Barn experience, only to find they had all closed...at... We arrived late afternoon just before closing. We order the fried apple pies with water to drink. The pies were so amazingly good. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable about their products. The lady offered us ice cream with our pies, but we declined. The pies were still hot! They will melt in your mouth. The food there is well... More

This is a great family place to visit. Breakfast was great. We loved the complimentary apple muffins and fritters with apple butter. Service was top notch. We loved touring the entire facility and, of course, we purchased some apple butter to take home. :)

Some down home country cooking, from the checkered table clothes to the servers in old world dresses, the food is great and a lot of it. Breakfasts are the bomb, but get there early on the weekends. Eaten here every time we're in TN...

This is a great place to eat. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. A little on the spendy side, but good portion size and wait staff was great. Overall well worth the wait and the cost.
