My Oh My....So Worth the Trip!

Three of us ate, and each ordered something different. Everything was delicious: fresh ingredients, excellent seasoning and textures. We enjoyed every bite! We have seen the sign here before but finally got a chance to eat tonight. We are delighted to have the authentic Russian food. Excellent seasonings, steaming hot freshly presented food. Delicious. Just like grandmother's old country recipes. We even got to order take home extras. Very reasonable prices. Decor was charming and the health inspection report shows 100. We... More

When you have a chef that makes authentic Russian cuisine....why have a burger! The fried cabbage pirochke were excellent! The scalloped potato pie very good as were the Cabbage Rolls. Valentina's sweet tea probably the best I've had. Very clean......including the bathrooms. Russian food is a little bland, but suited us well. Worth the excursion off the main highway.

The cabbage rolls are tangy and mild, but 3 aren't enough! When the owner asked what I wanted for dessert, I told her 2 more cabbage rolls. Can't get enough of this stuff. The owner treats all her customers like family.

I know this restaurant received Trip Advisors top award, but there is NO WAY that this restaurant should be 5 star/excellent. I am a former "Road Warrior" and have traveled to over 46 countries an most of the states in the US. FOOD- Average Average, both American(burger) and Russian(Stuffed cabbage. I have had a better burger at the "Cook Out"... More

Just like all of the other reviewers said, you will not be sorry that you stopped at this small hole in the wall. The food is wonderful the owners are delightful and the view of the river is beautiful. It is definitely worth a stop to have a wonderful meal in this cute little place.

What a cozy little restaurant. We had the Russian special and cabbage rolls and both were great! We were the only ones here at the beginning of our meal but made welcome on a cold winter day.

I never expected to find Russian food in the small town of Newport. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Grill 73. It has a wonderful atmosphere, food, and management. I have eaten there twice and both times enjoyed wonderful food. So far I have had the borsch, pierogi, and the cabbage rolls stuffed with lamb. The owners of the Grill... More

Once in Newport we wanted to stop for dinner and got online for reccos. Ended up at Grill 73 -- an American Russian restaurant. We had potato piroschkes with homemade honey mustard sauce (wow!), I had cabbage rolls (chicken and rice with two mysterious and delicious sauces on top), M had a burger with fries that had some kind of...
